  1. Wanted to also add- one of our group members (diamond status) has called RC several times. Each time he gets a different response. first was a guy that said to keep refreshing page. second was a guy that said it’s a tech glitch and he will ask IT team to reboot the server. third (and latest - this morning) he was told it won’t be ready until 15 days prior to sailing. That the Brilliance has never sailed the Panama Canal before and they aren’t ready for checkin. (This is the oddest answer to me…. But maybe?!? )
  2. Just updating for the followers. Our checkin is still not complete. Weaved refreshed and closed apps. Logged in both website and app and still no change. Tonight at our 11:01 pm it will be 48 hours. We will keep trying.
  3. I’m using the app and it’s not letting me grab a time in the app. Says come back later closer to cruise date.. it’s our check in day today.
  4. I’m using the app. Same message and yes I clicked the man icon top of app screen. Others are using the website.
  5. We had checkin today - there are 7 of us traveling together but not as a group. We just managed to get our cabins nearby and dining together. Perfect. we started checking in last night - some of us- and some this morning. We can add passport info, consent to photos. Insert photo. Insert credit card, contact info for someone not traveling with us- and it’s good. then we get taken back to show a green check for passport info. So that’s good we managed that. But we click on time to board and it says “we aren’t ready for you. Check back closer to cruise date. “ we’ve all sailed before but don’t remember it not allowing us to select a time to board at check in? any help or insight? Thanks in advance!
  6. I’m wondering if my check in date means that I can check in 12:01 am?
  7. Over the past month or so- when logging into my app or thru browser on website- I get a message - “we are unable to display your points at this time. Please check back later.” I’ve restarted my app. Restarted my browser and restarted my iphone. Any ideas?
  8. Haha! Got it too. Figured it was a burp and figured y’all would be talking about it. my soonest cruise is April 2023. Then another one booked for 2024
  9. Thank you! Very helpful to know it’s not unusual.
  10. We are going on Panama Canal cruise (Florida to Los Angeles) this coming April - and although the shore excursion options have shown up for booking - they have never shown up for Costa Rico day in port. We have 5 ports of call in the two weeks - and only 4 of those ports are showing up with excursion available. We have watched weekly since we booked our cruise - and Costa Rico is still missing. Is this happening on other cruises going to CR? or is it a mistake on our cruise that they shore excursions aren't showing? Thanks in advance!
  11. I was going to suggest Kemah boardwalk too. There are several things there, shopping, restaurants, the aquarium…. A good afternoons worth of leisure.
  12. Thank you. Would be helpful for all the others to have a video that isn’t four months old…. But this is helpful. Thank you
  13. Thank you… yes I understand what it means. But how does RC expect the results to be displayed? Is there anything official from RC about the results? Bring the test in a baggie with us to the ship? Take a photo? If a photo, does it need a time stamp, photo with my face, etc? or will they ask me during embarkation about the test and it is my word?
  14. I’ve looked for a blog post or a recent video with clear info about current status cruising for unvax passengers. We are set to sail in April - a group of us together. We are sailing thru Panama Canal and will visit port in Columbia. At lunch today, we discussed the home PCR test and how that is administered. Well, one of our group found the most recent video about at home tests About 4 months ago?) and how they require proctoring with an online service, etc. we pulled up the RC page on health requirements and the instructions are vague …. Can be proctored or can be unproctored, but the explanation is vague on how the unproctored works. (What’s the point?) is there a clearer explanation somewhere? An updated video? thanks in advance!
  15. We are cruising in April and already know we want to cruise in 2024 to Alaska. Do we wait and book during our cruise for best price or is that an illusion?
  16. From what I understand, those ports require a negative test before boarding. So if you book a cruise that has specific ports with protocols - negative test required or you don’t sail. Otherwise if the port doesn’t care, no testing needed.
  17. This is added testing to those going to Panama Canal - Columbia- we were having to test only because our cruise was longer than 12 days ( or whatever that guideline was..) but now it matters not the length but port of calls? For our cruise in April we can only hope this changes again.
  18. This community is a grand community! I have appreciated every single response to this post. Friendly. Well thought out. Kindness. In other communities I would have hidden under my sofa blanket to bypass ugly replies. Not so here! this is how America was once…..
  19. I had to laugh. Yes that was me giggling. I love royal because the age groups seem to be on the higher side and I have only considered that positive because of the fewer children running in the halls and touching all the food in Windjammer. My husband and I are in your age group….. I supposed someday we might be having to bring walkers with us!
