SailingSomewhere got a reaction from Jill in YES! Covid restrictions lifted in Italy/Greece!
What needs to go is the testing requirement prior to port stops in Greece!! The Greek government has now lifted ALL COVID requirements (no proof of any vaccination, no testing) to enter Greece.  So why is Royal Caribbean still requiring tests at all Greek ports at the cost of $55 per test per passenger for passengers (children under 12 appear to be exempt) who have not had a booster or had the initial vaccine series less than 9 months prior to cruise?

Hopefully this means no more “within 270 days of vaccination” too. I really didn’t want the booster.

    Vaccine mandates. Those are bothersome.

I'm not betting on any changes to US posture until 2024.   Think we're stuck with it.

For me, its the exact opposite.
I've done 5 cruises since July 2021 and have one final shutdown/FCC/lift-shift related cruise happening in August and then nothing else booked until mid 2023.  Over the last few post cruise surveys, I have shared my thoughts to Royal on the protocols/requirements and that this August cruise will be my last cruise while the protocols are in place.  I currently have two booked in 2023 and one booked in 2024, but I have had enough of it all and will not go on them if protocols are still in place.  I certainly hope things change sooner than later.

If it were really about safety then I’d think the testing would stay and the vaccine requirement would go. You’re right, public perception is everything. If the testing goes then the cases also go. You can find what you don’t track. 😂

Prior to boarding please add testing for:  Influenza, Norovirus, common cold, STDs, High Blood Pressure, Strep Throat, Whooping Cough, Pink Eye, Monkey Pox, Shingles, the list goes on and on and on.......people, please stop.
We went through A LOT together.  Some was bad, really bad.  Some...an enormous amount was completely self inflicted.  We are and will pay for it....literally for years.  Walk through this logically and you will recognize the math is overwhelmingly in your favor.

is RCCL and Celebrity doing away with having to be vaccinated for travel.  A Pre=cruise test is good.  I am in favor of eliminating requirements to be vaccinated
