Yes I sailed celebrity several times and I love it. Their new Edge class ships are beautiful and fun to be on. What specific questions do you have?
I'm just wondering if everything is pretty much ran the same. I like to eat, so is the main dining just as good as RC, and is it as much as you want or limited? Also, do they have decent entertainment and shows? I'm not worries about bells and whistles. No kids this cruise.

Our Greek Isles cruise is booked and we are counting down the days until embarkation.
We booked 2 cabins, one a Junior Suite (for the parents), and one Ocean View Balcony (for the adult kids). I put in a Royal Up request for another JS, but in case that doesn't work out, I've got a couple of logistics to figure out.
Right now we are on different decks and have different muster stations. Not worried about the different decks, but the different muster stations is a little more concerning. Is there anything I can do to request both cabins have same muster stations?
When we board, will the "kids" be allowed to board with us in the Suites/Pinnacle line or do they have to go to a separate line for boarding?
Thank you!
How old are your "kids"?

Has anybody ever cruised on RC's sister ship, Celebrity? I heard it's just like Royal, except a smaller cruise line. More intimate and upscale.

There are some Egypt cruises offered in 2023 on Rhapsody of the Seas: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-to/alexandria-egypt?&country=USA
The itinerary looks awesome!
I'm looking at RC's sister company Celebrity. They have a cruise Oct 23. Ten night with two days in Egypt. Looks pretty interesting.

I'm currently looking and only see Egypt ports on Celebrity, but that's still RC. I might have to go with Celerity. I'm going to post a different message asking about different ports here this afternoon.

Yes, Royal Caribbean has excursions to Cairo/Giza, etc. They have limited cruises to Europe and they stop in Alexandria and/or Port Said. I would recommend an excursion as opposed to getting there on your own, as both Alexandria and Port Said are located ~2 1/2 hours from the Pyramids.
You can see some excursions listed here, but they may not all be current:
I tried your links. None of them work for me. They must of been taken down.
-
I'm guessing some of these countries are limiting visitors right now due to covid. Maybe that's why the RC's itinerary's have changed so much.
-
Has RC ever had excursions to Egypt, Cairo, Giza, etc?

Now I'm just hoping it goes back to the one time I seen it at 50%. Not sure how many times they do that but I check every day.
-
So I have been watching, everyday, the price of the Izumi Hibachi experience. The sale price has remained 15%, but the price just went up by $10pp. Is this something they do often? Maybe trying to catch people off guard and make a little extra money? I could see if maybe closer to cruise time, but not 6 months out.
-
You might be on to something. I wonder if RC would put out a survey form, on what its customers would want to see changed or added, if they would build the ships differently? Of course it would have to big a big majority, of the same suggestion, for it even to be considered.

We staying in NYC for a whole week before heading to the ship, that’s why we booked the hotel in Times Square; I might move my last night there from that hotel to Newark airport hotel Matt, that’s exactly the info I needed. Thank you so much, glad to be here.
Before moving your last night, check to see if any hotels, close to the terminal, offer free shuttle service. We are doing the same as you, but we found a hotel that will let us park there while we are on the cruise. Saves the parking lot fee.

So just curious, when do these casino offers start? Like how much effort do you have to put forth to start receiving them? I know Atlantic City casinos didn't require much time or money spent at the tables to start receiving comps.

If you haven't heard, there are starting to be spikes again of Covid. It seems Philadelphia might go back to a mask mandate. This being said, if this starts happening in more cities, the CDC may bring this back to our cruise ships. Lets sure hope not. Being that it was also just spring break, we may see higher cases soon. Sorry for the Friday bummer.

On our upcoming cruise, we reserved two rooms. One for my wife and myself, and one for my daughter and her friend. Now, my daughter and her friend are both 18, and policy is that they have to have a room beside us. My question is, how strict is Royal on this policy? Say for instance, we would Royal up and be split up, do you think Royal would really dig into how old the passengers are and make a big deal out of it, or would you think this would be the less of their concerns? Has anyone actually done this with guests under 21?

You can't cancel the other room. If you add the other guests to the royal up suite it will trigger a reprice and you lose the royal up price.
So then it can't be done. Once you reserve two rooms, you have to keep the two rooms. You can't convert two two guest rooms in to one suite with four quests. I kinda figured but wasn't a 100% on it. How do you know this for sure?

No. You could all sleep in the suite but only the 2 who won it will have its privileges.
That's my plan. We could all use it, so do I only try one royal up for a suite, and if I get it, I cancel the other room?
-
Do you know if it's possible to royal up from two balcony rooms into one suite? Has anybody ever tried to do this?

If you want to stay side by side, no, you can't apply for upgrades. But if you don't care, Royal Up is run by a third party and treats every room independently. If you get an upgrade from them, it's not clear that they would actually check whether moving you would break the normal booking rules. Even less clear is whether Royal would notice when you check in to board the ship. Once on board, they definitely don't care who sleeps where.
I was wondering about that. If Royal really looked into whether the rooms were side by side once the cruise day is finally here.

I think they have the over 21s spread out among the different rooms so it doesn't apply in their case.
I was wondering because it really limits you on what you can do. Like I can't apply for any upgrades because we would never be side by side.
-
Do you need to carry this around at all during the cruise, or at different ports, or is it just needed for the initial check in?
-
I don't see how they could do that. I was told if there was anyone under 21 in our group, our rooms had to be side by side. This was a strict policy. Is this not correct?
