80th Birthday today, will celebrate with two solo cruises in October. Family doesnt like cruising and friends would rather stay home and watch TV LOL!

Have a question that probably has been asked before. I am on Symphony of the Seas transatlantic Oct 29, 2023. I may need to do a bank transfer the first of the month of November while ship is at sea. Would using the ship wi-fi for 1 day be secure or should I have a VPN? Thanks, Sandra

Thanks Jimnkathy and Linda excited to have 14 days to enjoy this balcony. I choose Central Park because I believed it would be less windy on all those sea days. Looks like it will be the right choice for me

Sailing Symphony of the Seas Transatlantic October 29, 2023. My cabin is 14249 port side but it faces starboard. For those who have sailed in a Central Park balcony "will I get any sun on this balcony?" I believe I will have fresh air but not sure of the light I will receive. Very excited about this European trip. Late October on a transatlantic is different for sunrises and sunsets? Any info would be appreciated about this cabin. First time on Oasis class and in a neighborhood.

Just got off Vision of the Seas. Wonderful cruise! Checked my cruise account everyday for any erroneous charges all was good. Today I found time to actually check my bill from Royal and lo and behold a $50 charge for pool towel. We borrowed 2 towels for 1 hour and returned them. Thought the pool attendant scanned my card but guess he didnt. Called Royal and they credited me but I felt like they didnt believe me. You can be sure next cruise I want to be sure and double check.

Guess its better to know now so we are not hanging around the pier

Okay I am jealous of your trip to Boston my hometown. Its funny I now live 100 miles south of Tampa . But all is good will be able to have fried clams and chowda because my flight home from Baltimore on Jet Blue has a 4 hour layover in Beantown and Legal Seafood is in every terminal.

Just wanted to update you on my ship. I realized that I would be Emerald with Crown and Anchor after my 10 day Vision of the Seas cruise in May. So when I did a dummy booking using my Crown and Anchor number received $200 for Central Park Balcony. That was the deal breaker clicked on placed my deposit. So thank you all for you help.

Hi Sweety and Last2know, my bucket list cruise is a transatlantic. Had one in mind and ready to book when saw the price on this and said go for it. I will be 80 so hopefully transatlantic next cruise.

Just booked this cruise because the price was fantastic considering the itinerary. Last trip to the ABC's was over 50 years ago.

Thanks for the help in deciding. I also believe may regret spending the extra on Symphony. I will try to cut back on my Hotels and touring choices pre cruise and let my family know all gifts for year should be monetary Ha! Ha!

Hello I will be 80 years young in August. Am trying to complete my Bucket List. Have a problem deciding which transatlantic to board this fall. My family is of no help because they do not cruise. The problem is as follows Enchantment of the Seas or Symphony of the Seas. I will be combining a med 7 day with either of these cruise so all in about 24 days with hotels on each end of flight to Europe. Have been on Enchantment and for the money this is the cheapest but I am afraid I will get board with the ship with the limited dining venues and entertainment. I use a walker so visiting ports is not a consideration since I do not book in advance as I never know how I will feel day to day. The difference in price is about $1000, Central Park Balcony) which could be used on a MSC med cruise. I am not poor but do have a budget. Have never been on Symphony but on Oasis and Allure, love the choices of free dining and people watching. My budget says Enchantment (oceanview) but at my age I think Symphony because this might be my last trip to Europe. Suggestions or feedback I am Platinum and either of these trips will make me Diamond since I cruise solo.

I leave May 5th on Ovation of the Seas( for 8 day Alaska) sister of Quantum. Since I am solo I have cabin 12631 which is a virtual balcony. Will post after cruise. First trip to Alaska, First time Ovation, first time inside with virtual balcony. LOL!
