That's not true. Same prices as pre-pandemic. They top off at $12 or $13 each (many are cheaper), and included with drink packages.

This may be a dumb question but my wife and I are leaving on Anthem in a few weeks and I was on Royal's website and it looks like we can upgrade from our interior room to a balcony for cheaper than what we originally paid for. Is this worth it and would we get our money back or do they just give you on board credit?

Yes it’s worth it!
With the new best price guarantee you could either pocket the difference as onboard credit (assuming you’re past final payment date) or see if you can have the room upgraded with no change in price.

I'm the opposite. Never tried anything but an interior cabin (wait, does an interior with virtual balcony count?). It will be nice to try a balcony, someday.
