  1. I have never booked an Annual Prime/Signature cruise. I never knew how to access them, until recently, when @Ampurp85 showed me where to find them. Plus with all the instant certificates I get while onboard, and all the free cruises I receive in the mail, I just never found much need in looking into the Prime/Signature cruises. That could change, as we have a bunch of cruises being offered via Prime/Signature, which are better offerings than the most recent cruises I've received in the mail. But in the spirit of this discussion, we have two identical cruises upcoming, Seattle/Alaska aboard Quantum. My wife and a friend will do this cruise in July, and my wife and I will do this cruise together in September. We have a couple more cruises we must get booked via NextCruise. I suspect they will end up being West Coast Mexico, from Los Angeles. Logistically, they are by far the easiest cruises for us.
  2. For the folks looking forward to Labadee, for the folks in Labadee, and for Royal, I am sorry this has been so tough. But to add a Port not routinely visited, is a win, for me.
  3. I don't think even Royal knows their own rules, or how to apply them. Last year, we took our adult son on his first cruise. He was identified as Diamond on his Seapass. When offered free drinks, we questioned it, but were told if it says Diamond, then he is Diamond, and will be given Diamond perks accordingly.
  4. A short week later, and today I cannot get their website to load. To put so much responsibility on digital communications, and struggle so often to keep it working... It puts a strain on their customers, but it must be an incredible strain on Royal, not to be able to sell goods and services, even for short periods. I know very likely it will be working again. All the more reason I try to plan ahead with my digital business. I'd hate to have to deal with their website at the last minute, and it's not working. .
  5. We have also never seen this show/game. I've never planned ahead enough ahead to attend, and when we've tried at show time, they've been over full.
  6. I think it's good, too. I figured it's a proprietary recipe, so I will enjoy it while onboard. The sky is the limit on fig chutney on Amazon.
  7. Wow! A response! And to know now, your suggestion has ended up with all the other suggestions.
  8. I don't generally use app's unless it is necessary. My login issues were with my home computer, where I do all my Royal Caribbean business. After this Royal IT snafu, and my changed password, I got to thinking, my Wife does use the app. I just now asked her if she is able to login to the app. NOPE ! She changed her password to her existing password, and now she's able to login. My issue... This may be a little thing to most folks. To non digital-savvy folks like me, if I was down to the wire and needed to conduct last-minute business with Royal, and couldn't, my frustration would overflow. I cannot understand why this issue happened, and Royal not contacting its customers that there was a computer and/or app malfunction that required action by the customer.
  9. Speaking of magnets... We are finding few available, and none that would fit our refrigerator motif. Recently on Wonder, magnets were unavailable, but key chains/key fobs were of a plethora. Simply gluing magnets on the back of a key chain fob gave us instant refrigerator magnets.
  10. @OCSC Mike ... I thought there might be another avenue to confirm/change the password, but I just simply did the forgot password prompt as you suggested, changed my password to the same password I already had, and voila! I am back in business. Thanks.
  11. I still can't get in. I have 9-characters, including numbers, letters, small case and caps. It hasn't asked me to change, it just keeps saying my password is incorrect. And not letting me in via my password, I cannot find how/where to change the password. This is frustrating.
  12. Our one and only non-Royal cruise was aboard Norwegian Breakaway. A tremendous wonderful modern and beautiful ship, but it had no conventional promenade. The Promenade is my favorite place on a ship. Without the Promenade, there were just that many more bars. And that's fine too for the folks that prefer that. I'm just not one. I can already find plenty of bars to keep me happy.
  13. I am relatively new to this cruise thing. Our first cruise was in 2016, and we just finished our 20th cruise. 19 were on Royal. Prior to that, I could not even imagine the cruise scene. I was completely uninterested. And now, I love it and could easily live aboard a ship. And if it's not evident, I am retired.
  14. The website's issues change from day to day. For the longest time, it took me three tries, to get logged in. This morning I logged in easily and successfully. Now, I cannot log in at all. I think I'm gonna quit trying for awhile. It says 6 more unsuccessful attempts and I'll have to reset my password. But I know, tomorrow it will be just fine.
  15. I try to be less grumbly than many of the folks here, so I'm naturally more appreciative.... I may not even know when I'm eating a bad meal. And in fairness, yes, if you say you hated your food, you must've believed it was really bad. But, I've gotta say, my meals on Wonder, last week, were as good as the best food I've ever eaten, anywhere. The MDR, although all I ate there were the steaks, were quite good. And on the ethnic nights where I skipped the MDR, the Windjammer was the best it's ever been, both in variety, preparation, and quality. And the service was terrific. On lobster night, our lobsters were great. Really great. But as we left the restaurant, I overheard somebody complaining how awful the lobster was. I guess if you're convinced your food was awful, then to you, it was awful. Because my opinion was different, doesn't mean I was right or you were wrong.
  16. I used the ships laundry service for the first time on Wonder, week of March 24th this year. I placed underwear, t-shirts, and socks, all cotton, cotton/polyester, or other synthetic blends, in the bag, and they all came back the next day, as perfect as I packed them when we left home. Contrary to other folks' experiences, I will now use the laundry every chance I get. But my Wifes much more fragile clothing, even I would not include them in the ships laundry.
  17. My cat was looking forward to the eclipse today. Even though we were only to have 20% coverage, we were unable to see anything at all through the clouds. So my kitty settled for watching it on TV.
  18. We did the swim up bar in Costa Maya. If there was a Royal sponsored tour including this, I didn't know about it. We sat in the beach/lounge area, watched the folks in the pool, and got a severe brain freeze with this 19-dollar Daiquiri. And to use the beach loungers, one only had to buy a drink.
  19. Being from out here, first off, I am not highly enamored with anything Seattle. But, we have two cruises from Seattle coming up and thought just maybe we'd change up our travel modes, just a little. Seattle is close enough, flying there takes more time with the travel day than than driving a car. So, we thought just maybe... Drive our own car and park in the Pier 91 parking lot. 27-bucks a day isn't cheap, but neither is renting a car, which is what we usually do, then hire a cab to get us from the rental car drop-off to the ship. So, has anyone actually used this parking lot?
  20. Yep, get 'em reserved. We just got off a cruise yesterday, and without reservations, we were unable to see any shows. It wasn't for lack of trying. The app was just uncooperative. Gone are the days of just showing up. And I get too, every cruise, every show, and every management team handles reservations and seating differently. Fortunately, we were able to see the Aqua show and ice show, only because the C&A rep got involved.
  21. We have also left wine and soda pop for the cabin attendants, and yes they have been appreciative. Problem is, we had zero interaction with our cabin person on this cruise, in spite of him doing a great job. We didn't even know his name until he left his card at the end.
  22. This trip was a flash in the pan. It was wonderful. We get off the boat in an hour and must wait til tonight for a flight. Connections to PDX are not always convenient and we must take what we can get. I was thinking, we don't take advantage of most of the perks available with out C&A and casino status. Laundry is one of these perks. I tried it for the first time on this cruise and it worked! I may be onto something new. Thanks for coming along with us on this cruise. My wife cruises to Alaska with a friend in July, and then we will do the same cruise together in September. We both received very decent cruise certificates on this cruise, so now we've got to start planning all over again.
