  1. A question for Galveston cruisers that have booked Junior Suites since the new terminal opened. I have read mixed reviews on terminal staff not honoring Junior Suite guests boarding with suite guests. Inconsistently, some have been sent through regular boarding and some through suite boarding. Royal's policy states a Junior Suite perk is priority boarding. I am interested in anyone's experience that has sailed in a Junior Suite at the new terminal. Which area were you lined up in or sent to? Thanks for your feedback.
  2. Was on a recent excursion in St John. Went to use the bathroom and came back to a high tide disaster. Snorkel gear, towel, cap and shirt soaked and covered in sand. No problem, just go back up to the shower and rinse it all off. Problem was only one flip flop! After a rinse off and hanging stuff in sun to dry off I walked the beach and amazingly found the other flip flop way beyond what I thought possible it could be washed by the tide. Half buried in sand right next to a family's stuff. They were in the water, and all of them saw me walk up to their stuff wondering what I was doing. I pulled my flip flop out of the sand and held it up for them to see I was not robbing them! They all laughed and waved. Awkward! I was picturing me barefoot all the way back to the ship burning my feet!
  3. This is consistent with what the other guest has reported. He said the construction crew is completing Harmony and will be onboard Oasis this Sunday to begin the process. The new casino venue should be open to guests on the 3/26 sailing. Adding 40+ new slots in the new venue. I bet nonsmoking gamblers will enjoy the new space and having Jazz playing in multiple venues around the ship should be nice as well. Thanks WAAAYTOOO for your updates!
  4. My FB group has a guest onboard that just posted Jazz on 4 is open this week but all live music has been scheduled in other venues. He is being told construction will begin 3/12 and usually takes 2 weeks to complete the remodel. Two different reports from separate guests currently onboard. "Communication breakdown, its always the same!" -Led Zepplin
  5. I checked a few sailings on the app schedule and Jazz is scheduled in Central Park, Music Hall and Royal Promenade throughout the week. So it appears they will maintain jazz onboard and have them play in various venues throughout the ship during each sailing! Would love to see some photos next week when they reopen. Thanks!
  6. I usually get up at 5:30, get ready and arrive at the Windjammer at 6. Eat breakfast and then go get my stuff and go get in line. This almost always allows me to be one of the first off. But you should prepare to wait in line for a while. Worth it if you want to make an earlier flight and avoid the insane crowds that follow. And elevators are easy to get that early too!
  7. Yes, so if anyone receives a "please excuse our dust" email about construction next door to the Diamond Lounge for an upcoming sailing on Oasis, Allure or Symphony please post here. Thanks!
  8. Checking to see if anyone knows Royal's rollout plan for converting the Jazz on 4 spaces into non-smoking casino spaces like on Wonder? The only info confirmed is Harmony is starting their conversion today through March 12. I would guess they move to the next Oasis class ship on March 12-26? The first I read about this project was a post that Cory (CD on Allure) told the guest they were doing this and had hoped to complete all Oasis class ships by end of April. Has anyone received an email on an upcoming sailing (not including Harmony) about this?
  9. I have a trade offer with another guest sailing Oasis in April. If that trade offer would fall through I will post here. Thank you for the offer!
  10. I am interested in trading a Liberty of the Seas Crystal Block for any other ship except for Liberty, Jewel, Adventure and Navigator. Let me know if you are interested and we can arrange a trade. Thanks!
  11. Greetings! I am sailing Navigator of the Seas in Feb. I have read the tender process is not good unless you are booked on a RC excursion. I want to see whales, but that excursion is sold out. My question is as a Diamond Plus member can the Diamond Lounge Concierge provide me with an early departure ticket? If I can get to port early, I will book a local tour. Thanks for any advice!
  12. If Matt is following this post, I am curious what areas are planned to be redone before Allure arrives in Galveston? Seems like the current passengers should get compensated!

  14. I am fairly sure all RC sailings will use the new terminal. Here is a tour from Sharon at Sea of the new terminal and she states that Allure and Adventure will use this terminal.
  15. Can anyone tell me if the bed or sofa is nearest the balcony in room 12192? I know the room arrangement alternates but not sure about our stateroom? Thanks in advance for the help!
  16. I am Prime and just had several offers expire end of October. Usually new offers have appeared for the next month and I currently am showing only my annual cruise listed on the website. I called the prime number and there was no reason given for no new offers. They noted my annual benefit available and any future offers for prime members would appear in the future. I specifically asked why no new offers have been sent out and they were very carefully and politely avoiding any specific answer. I can only assume they are pausing offers temporarily for some business reason.
  17. I noticed the first sailing of Liberty of the Seas cruise compass did not include their production of Into the Air. Does anyone know if or when they will bring this show back onboard? I know other shows around the fleet are planning to return eventually post shut down (ie. Flight on Symphony).
  18. We were on Sovereign of the Seas years ago and were lounging at the pool. There were a very large couple lounging with heaping plates of chicken balanced on their stomachs. After eating their entire plates of fried chicken they both set down the bone plates, walked over and got into the pool. Crumbs and a grease slick emerged as other swimmers quickly jumped out of the pool. They had to drain and clean the pool and needless to say the crowd was not happy with the chicken eaters using the pool as their bathtub!
  19. Great news. Thank you and I really enjoyed Flight as well and look forward to seeing it again!
