  1. Thank you. OK- I looked through my email and only see this registration being referred to in the sailing protocol emails, where it says registration will be emailed. Not the actual registration. Do you remember the subject line of the email? Speaking with someone from Royal now, hope they can resend it.
  2. I just received an email about our upcoming sailing protocols. The email says" Embarkation Day: Unvaccinated guests ages 2 to 11 will take a complimentary PCR test for COVID-19 during check-in. Registration details will be sent via email in advance. " I knew the kids need the test at the terminal. I have already reserved a great boarding time for our family (11:30), scheduled the pre-cruise antigen test 2 and 3 days before, etc. I assumed that the embarkation day COVID test would be done at some point during our scheduled boarding time, but the email is making me wonder if I need to also sign up for a time specifically for the kids' check-in covid test separately. I don't think I received an email specifically telling me to register for this. I'm on hold with Royal now but who know for how long...? Any knowledge on this? Thanks!
  3. There was a sale that ended earlier this week I believe. Check again on Black Friday - there are usually sales happening. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/11/08/royal-caribbeans-past-black-friday-deals. If there's something you think might sell out, advice on here is to buy when you know you want it, then cancel/rebook if it goes on sale. Have fun!
  4. I got a quote for the annual Allianz primer plan and it was $715 for the whole family (two adults and 4 kids). I thought it was a great deal because we have 3 cruises booked this year and will probably plan other trips as well. I also priced out Costco's travel insurance for the six of us for just our upcoming November cruise and it was $150 for all. Still deciding which one to go with. I guess kids don't add that much to the price.
  5. They should still be up through New Year's. At least they were for us when we sailed from 12/27-1/4. Enjoy!
  6. Two years ago, we took out first family cruise on Grandeur right after Christmas, and got some beautiful family Christmas photos by the tree in the Centrum and on Coco Cay. In less than 3 weeks, we will be sailing on Mariner (Nov 20-25), and I would love to get some family photos that I could use for our Christmas card - does anyone remember if the ships typically have Christmas decorations up by Thanksgiving?
  7. I'm interested in this is well, and found the above discussion. I'm hoping AO is better than their experience.
  8. Hoping to get some clarity on this aspect of the protocols: "For Main Dining, Royal Caribbean will designate areas for everyone, including parents and unvaccinated children, and areas for vaccinated parties only. My Time Dining will not be available to parties that include unvaccinated guests." We currently have "My Time Dining" and I've already gone through and selected our dining times in the main dining room each night for our party, which includes unvaccinated children. What do they mean "MTD will not be available." I thought My Time Dining was just selecting your times vs having the same time every night? Will they assign us a set time throughout the cruise instead? Thanks!
  9. Thanks for your input, I suspected this - bummer but at least we will be on a cruise!!
  10. Hi Matt, Thanks for the trip report - we are sailing on Mariner in November with our kids - so the kid related info was very helpful. On our last cruise, we enjoyed activities in the evening like trivia and silent disco - are kids who are not vaccinated allowed in those areas? I know places like schooner bar and casino are off-limits, so I was wondering about this. Thanks!
  11. Hi! Our itinerary on Mariner changed two weeks ago, swapping out Costa Maya for Coco Cay, but the shore excursions for the Coco Cay Day are all for Nassau, and bookable! I'm sure RC is not planning to take us to Nassau for an excursion from Coco Cay, and I'm hoping it is just a glitch however it has been like this for weeks already. I'd like to see the options for Perfect Day at Coco Cay. Also, I'm Really hoping this doesn't indicate there's going to be another swap out for Nassau from Coco Cay!! Any thoughts or similar experiences?
  12. I received an official itinerary change last night Costa Maya is now Perfect Day at Coco Cay!!
  13. Our itinerary on Mariner Nov 20-25 was originally stopping Cozumel and Costa Maya, now the Costa Maya day changed to Perfect day, but only on the shore excursion calendar, where it was previously Costa Maya, but the change is not on made on the full calendar yet. I wonder if the change is in the works but not fully cycled through yet. I'd be happy either way, but it is interesting.
  14. Oh well, brand new article posted on the blog just announced the all Enchantment sailings are cancelled through 8/26.
  15. I recently posted about my July 1 sailing, 27 days out and not yet cancelled - RC and Costco travel agents say it's still a go (although I know they don't have "all" the information). RC hasn't said anything about Enchantment as far as I know. I checked https://www.cruisemapper.com/?imo=9111802 a couple of days ago and Enchantment was in the port of Miami, now it is on its way to Philipsburg, St. Martin. Many other ships out there as well. I'm taking this as a sign that they are really starting preparations. I hate to get my hopes up but I admit I have a glimmer of hope!
  16. I finally got through to a Costco travel agent, who got an RC agent on the line to find out the details with me on hold. After all that, she told me the 9 night is still on. Check in is still closed and she said I could get information about check in any day. So strange, I still think the chances are very slim but we'll see. I would love to go on this cruise!
  17. I decided to call Royal Caribbean since today is 30 days and I still don't have any more info. Since I booked this cruise through Costco Travel, the RC agent told me that Costco should have contacted me back in march about my options. I remember calling Costco Travel a few months ago and they didn't have any information then. Since then I've just been waiting for the official RC cancellation date of 6/30 to change, otherwise I didn't think Costco would have any more info than that. I asked her about the shortening of the dates and she said that's a possibility, and reiterated that I should call Costco travel to learn about my options. I'll update when I get through to Costco (so far no answer, grr).
  18. I'm booked to cruise on a 9 night sailing out of Baltimore on Enchantment. We booked this in Jan 2020 right after returning from our first RC cruise. Original dates July 1-July 10 2021. I have always and still do, assume this will not sail, although I would love for it to go forward. It is 33 days out and I haven't received any notification, and "official" cancellation date is still through June 30th (one day before). Today, I noticed that the dates on my upcoming cruise summary are listed as July 1-July 7th, so it has been shortened by 3 nights. I still don't think it will sail but I thought this was very strange to see. Still no notification about such a change if it is true. The cruise planner still lists all 10 days and check in is not available. Any thoughts on what is happening? Are they shortening other sailings in July > 7 nights?
  19. I was excited to see this - we're supposed to sail on Enchantment from Baltimore on July 1 - glad to see Baltimore opening up, although I don't see my particular cruise happening so soon.
