I have never stayed in a suite before (usually just balcony rooms), however because of the pandemic and several cancelled cruises we are considering combining them and go for a suite on one of the new Anthem sailings from the UK. It would probably be one of the smaller suites so I am wondering what the differences are between Junior Suites and a Grand Suite one bedroom as they seem fairly similarly priced from what I can tell. Also what perks do you get through booking a suite as apposed to a standard balcony and is it worth it? Thanks

UK domestic cruises given green light
Brogan replied to Mike.s's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I am hearing a lot of talk that Harmony will be the ship Royal place in the UK offering cruises to nowhere most likely. If they did I would book in a heartbeat, that would be amazing. -
So today Disney cruise line have announced they will be offering domestic UK cruises for the 2021 summer season joining a very long list of cruise lines to announce UK cruises to restart this summer (P&O, Cunard, MSC, Princess, Viking, and now Disney). I wonder why Royal haven’t announced any yet? And given the fact they are legally able to resume from May 17th and they have announced several other cruises resuming elsewhere from June onwards, I don’t understand why they haven’t announced any to resume in the UK yet?

I live in the UK and my view is that everyone who can should get the vaccine. In my opinion its the only way out of the pandemic and so I struggle to find any plausible argument against taking the vaccine. I’m only 19 so will be amongst the last to be offered it but when my time comes I will certainly be taking it. If Royal Caribbean mandates the having to have had the vaccine to sail I think thats a good ideas as there is a lot less chance of transmission of the virus and therefore a lot less likely cruising could be disrupted. Also in the fullness of time hopefully the vaccine can mean other measures like masks could be removed sooner. Anyway I cannot wait to cruise again!!

MSC have announced that they are restarting cruises out of UK on may 20th 2021, they also said they will NOT be requiring guests to be vaccinated. Their cruises will be to the British Isles which is different to P&O’s cruises to nowhere. Viking, Fred Olson, P&O and now MSC have all announced UK restart plans for this summer, will Royal Caribbean do the same? I certainly hope so!
