  1. I'm following this for details specific to Wonder. I am on 4/8 and the rest of my group snapped up the UDP, but by the time I went to buy it was gone. Checking daily to see if it pops back up or will try to arrange something onboard.
  2. I believe Avis, Hertz, and Enterprise all have locations close by and port shuttles, we’ve always used Avis since we get a substantial discount through my wife’s work. Whichever company you rent from make sure to ask the local branch if they offer a port shuttle.
  3. I think more often than not it’s warm enough for me to snorkel. There was one year where it was closer to 21 or 22 degrees and we still went in the water, though it was a bit chilly when we got out. I consider 16c to be the cutoff for shorts and sandals though if that gives you any indication for my temperature preference.
  4. I second MEI, I've booked my last two cruises through one of their reps and if the rest of the agents there are anything like her, you'll have an amazing experience. Love just getting an email saying "I saved you some money on your cruise". Rather than having to check pricing daily myself, and call in to ask to have it changed.
  5. Also, if you are working with a travel agent, especially with one of the big ones, they will look for sailings that meet your criteria and have group rate pricing, I have saved hundreds of dollars by moving to a group rate on an existing reservation through my travel agent. One perk to Next Cruise (Onboard bookings) is that deposits are usually less, we just booked on our last cruise and the deposit was $100pp.
  6. Welcome to the cruising community! Weather in January at Perfect Day is usually going to be above 20 degrees, probably closer to 23 or 24, on average, in Mexico is likely to be a little warmer than the Bahamas as it's a little further south. I agree with bhageerah, you should probably get started on booking your next cruise too!
  7. Hi Nick, sounds like you had a rough experience. I'd like to point out a few things that may be helpful to you moving forward; -- Pricing on choosing a room, and letting the cruise line do it for you differs depending on demand. Usually, but not always, letting the cruise line choose your room for you is a little cheaper. Once you have chosen a room, you should be able to change to any room in that same category and not see a price change. -- If you have a US based booking, you can reprice at any time before final payment date. If the booking is already past final payment, you are stuck with your pricing. -- I would recommend in the future that you choose and book through a reputable travel agent, because they take care of everything, including the hassle of calling Royal Caribbean in the event you want anything changed. Also, using a travel agent doesn't cost anything since they are paid by the cruise line. -- If you want to use a travel agent, you still may be able to, generally bookings have a time period 30-60 days after they are made, where you can transfer the booking from Royal Caribbean to a travel agent. Hope these help, and that you aren't too discouraged, cruising is a lot of fun!
