  1. What me and my S/O found romantic was pigging out with some delicious tropical alcohol beverages on our stateroom. (with a ocean balcony view) Both marinating in the hot tub until we're raisins at 2:00am (Very peaceful and no one else is awake) Gambling side by side on tables in the casino. We are adulting to the max
  2. That's actually really smart lol. I saw people riding up with all their luggage and was wondering where they were going since the buffet is on the other side of the ship. Now I finally realize these were pros.
  3. “Take vacations, and go as many places as you can. You can always make money; you can't always make memories.” I saw your quote and had a shower thought: Your quote says you can always make money but not memories. Doesn't money make memories since you need money to go on vacation therefore producing the product of memories?
  4. I tried wonderland last week, just got back from my sailing so it's still fresh with me. To be completely honest you're going for the experience and getting out of your comfort zone during your vacation. The service was great, along with the entertainment staff and atmosphere. (Great for pictures) BUT the food was a bit odd for me and I eat just about anything. Most of our food was also lukewarm which seems to be the pattern here. I had a view of their open kitchen and the lukewarm food could be due to the cause of the time spend staging the plate for presentation. the dessert with the chocolate molded like mushroom was delicious along with the melting caramel ball peanut butter ice cream. It's a toss up and I would definitely go again if we had a great deal or it was free haha. The wonderland themed alcohol looked great but tasted awful in my opinion. I started ordering alcohol I was comfortable with after the first experimentation of wonderland beverages.
  5. I had no idea about the expiration for the points... I don't know when i'll be sailing again but if it's not within the year I'd lose all the points i've acquired from my previous sailing then. This is on top of IF i even manage to hit prime during my second sailing before it expires.
  6. thank you, i had no idea that's how they tracked on tables. I remember the pit boss always jotting something down from time to time. I should have increased my bet when he did. I think they should definitely implement a more accurate system like they do for slot machines.
  7. I set an alarm with a note to turn phone on airplane mode before ship sailed. (that way I was able to still take pictures and make calls 1 last time before we sailed off) Bring water shoes they were a game changer for me. They're fairly affordable, I went with a brand called aleader on amazon. Take note of the time of when the casino closes daily. They always close when heading closer to land due to the laws. Example: I was playing roulette and was betting strictly on colors, it hit 7 consecutive black colors and I was going to bet red the next spin but they ended up closing the casino and I lost the chase for hitting a red. Put on the cruise luggage tags after you've arrived at the cruise terminal to avoid confusion with airport luggage tags.
  8. We sailed on symphony of the seas for a 7 day cruise. From what they said most of the time formal night will always be on sea days and since we had 2 sea days there was 2 formal nights.
  9. So me and my S/O just finished sailing our first cruise last week. We are avid gamblers ONLY when on vacation or at resorts, we tried to obtain the prime status while on our sailing. We've spent together an average of $6,000-$7,000 on tables and never played slot machines. We played daily around the late evenings. At the end of our cruise she received a $100 certificate for our next cruise and I received a $200 certificate. No prime membership was mentioned, which got us a bit bummed out. Does anyone know how tables work and what the average is to achieve prime status on tables only? We played Ultimate Texas Hold'em & Roulette only.
  10. I was on Symphony of the Seas when they visited cococay alone and it was already packed everywhere. I can't even imagine 1-2 extra ships!
  11. I also contemplated with the right device for my first cruise last week. We settled with the DJI Osmo Pocket which we absolutely LOVED over the go pro. Extremely small and records in 4K resolution with a small touch screen you're able to view digitally what you're recording or taking pictures of. We bought the DJI water proof case with it and never had a problem. If you have not purchased or decided on the go pro, i'd give DJI Osmo Pocket a google. I basically just youtubed everything to get a feel for it before the purchase.
  12. I sail in 2 days!!! I'm flying tomorrow the day before sail date just in case anything happens I would have some buffer. (A tip given to me by this community) Just wanted to thank this entire community for answering all of my questions and concerns, providing tips/advice/suggestions which were all amazing I'm going to experience my very first flight and cruise ever in my life! Thanks to everyone here i'm going in well prepared from airport to ship dock! Grateful that this platform was created and the wonderful people who were able to gather and genuinely help each other out! See everyone next week and a happy new year!
  13. Thank you for the detail answer, always appreciate too much information rather than too little.
  14. I'm sailing on symphony of the seas next week in January for the new years and water park price is $95 USD per person.
  15. IM SAILING ON MY FIRST CRUISE NEXT WEEK!!! ALSO FIRST TIME OUT OF THE STATE!!! AND IN THE AIR LOL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Does anyone know if there are tables for ultimate texas holdem on symphony of the seas? Also anyone advantages gambling with cold hard cash or with seapass card linked to your credit card? (in terms of tracking your points) Is there anyway to pull funds out of seapass card linked with your credit card without paying a fee? (Since everything is so digital and cashless I figured bringing cash to gamble leads to a lot for risk) Are there any cash games in the casino? Although I don't want to be charged a fee just to pull cash out from my seapass card I also don't want to carry a wad of cash around with me. Anyone ever hit any big hands or jackpots on tables or slots as well? Any other gambling tips/suggestions/advice are more than welcome as well! Warmest regards!
  16. Sorry if this has been asked, I just wanted to know the process. I recently purchased the deluxe drink package (UDP) for my S/O and I. My question is: Do I need to pick up a special drink card or wristband so they know I purchased the UDP? Is the UDP integrated into the seapass card and I just show that? I understand the UDP covers a certain threshold before you pay for the difference if more expensive, will the bartender let me know before charging the difference? Concerned they might charge my card per drink if I don't properly let them know I purchased the UDP. Bonus question so i don't have to make another thread: I bought Zoom's surf&stream internet package: Do they give me a certain password so I can connect to their wifi when I board the ship or is it maybe a piece of paper in our stateroom? (Or do I have to ask customer service desk?)
  17. Thanks, I was hoping it was surf since its cheaper. Wonder why social media posting falls in stream category.
  18. Hello, I'm looking to get some casual/basic internet connections to just post videos and pictures on social media apps like instagram/facebook/etc. Does anyone know what posting videos and pictures falls under? Whether its surf or stream? I don't need to post it live, I'm fine with pre-recording and taking pictures then uploading later when i'm in the cabin.
  19. I'm sailing for the first time in January, 2020 which is approaching sooner than I expected! I've paid in full my cruise fare few months back but left prepaid gratuities to knock out later before sail date. (i wanted to allocate cash properly so I paid for the pre-paid gratuity 1 month before sailing) Edocs came out before I paid for my prepaid gratuities so in my document package it shows that I did not prepay gratuity yet. ***My question*** Does anyone know if they update or reissue edocs to reflect accurate information? I've prepaid my gratuity but I have the old documents thats say I did not. How long does it usually take if they do update edocs?
  20. WOW thank you for that life lesson haha. I would have never imagined those were considered liquids. If anything its more solid? Thanks!
  21. thanks Kristiz, I got a bit worried if someone got there before me to grab the seapass cards.
  22. So this is not inclusive with the cruise fare but an extra charge? I was hoping playmaker was inclusive like windjammer. (no worries though) If it's on the front door can't anyone access your room or steal it? Since the seapass card will be linked with my credit card is this something to be concerned if someone go their hands on them? No need to apologize this was information I definitely needed. I'm on this forum because of the plethora of information. I really appreciated you going through the time to write this out for me!!!
  23. Thanks, you've been a great help with a lot of my questions through the months haha.
  24. could you elaborate on this @BunnyHutt. Do i have to get all my carry-ons screened by TSA or do you mean if I don't follow liquid rules I will be screened? I figured I'll bring tiny sample bottles of liquid and leave the large bottles of liquids in my checked luggage.
  25. Will do, it seems like a fairly stupid question for most haha. I've just never had any experience with this stuff. The airport will be an adventure for me guaranteed. Planning on giving myself a lot more time before flight to get my directions. Thank you!
