last time we were on the island we had a excursion, but we did manage to make it thru the tunnel  and over to the other side as i was on a mission to pick up some spices.  I like to pick up different spices from different islands to cook with.  If we had more time i would have loved to check out that area as there looked like a lot of places to venture into.

We just arrived home from a DCL that sailed to Barbados. We booked a ResortforaDay pass. It was 17.00 taxi ride for the 3 of us about 15 minutes away. The beach was clean and somewhat private being at the end, the property was actually a Hilton. ( I believe the beach is "public" but security was posted discreetly where the hotel property began.) We encountered zero roaming sales people.  The pool was wonderful also and they included towels, chairs, umbrellas and a small lunch (bar menu) and one drink per adult, and a soft drink for our daughter. We found everyone there very friendly & it was not crowded at all. Restrooms were very clean as well, when we were ready to leave they called a taxi for us, same 17.00 back to the ship. The area was beautiful for pics, if you looked around the bend you could actually see the ship off in the distance. Enjoy & be safe where ever you spend your day.

i booked through www.shoreexcursions.com at the recommendation of AAA, and found a cavern tour, meet at the big tree, take a van out to the cavers, get a tour, have a short time to shop, then they bring you up to a point where the views were beautiful!! not snorkellling, but beautiful nonetheless

Carlisle Bay is right by the boat house mentioned above and is a marine sanctuary with ship wrecks.  this is where most tours stop to swim with turtles, of course you may have to swim out from the beach a few hundred yards

Was there, but on a private tour company,   Cosol St. Lucia Tours we toured the whole island.
while the drive in volcano was neat, I myself would not make a point to just go see that
I personally was more impressed with Petit Piton and Gros Piton which are twin volcanic spires majestically soaring out of the sea

on st lucia my husband and I (with carnival... hopefully rccl has something close because it was amazing) we essentially got a tour of the island, stopping to see the pitons, and going to a plantation where we saw beautiful gardens, got to sample tea, coconut, and cocoa beans, and see how they processed cocoa! the hilight of the trip was going to the mud baths where we smeared ourselves with volcanic mud and had a nice dip in a volcanic hot spring... they mean hot!! haha. so nice!

edit: they do have it!! Breathtaking Soufriere & Warm Mineral Baths - SL85

The Boatyard!!! Beach and bar. Loved it. We walked, I think it was 2 miles each way (maybe one) from the port but that was an exercise choice.
