  1. Ours is the same way. I was warned it wouldn't be accessible until we got on board and I did ask why but I don't think they really had an answer for me. I've learned to be okay with it since we usually get direct-from-Royal OBC also that can be used in the CP.
  2. Nope, just gives you the total. Doesn't even show if they're split between cruisers. My mom and I redeemed credit card points for OBC and each of us put it in as "individual" instead of "shared". But when they appeared on the cruise planner, it's just giving us a lump sum.
  3. So! Much! WAX! *drools* somehow when we go to the suite lounge we always end up with a spread that feels very meh to me. this though..THIS is making me drool
  4. The benefit to reading this late is knowing what this turned out to be referring to O.O
  5. Most likely, it's open at 10:30 for back to back cruisers or something (could also be a classic Royal typo). But given that check-in to get on the ship itself probably won't be until 11 AM, 2 makes sense. Gives time for people to actually get on the ship, and the staff to clean and reset and do all the normal turn-around day things.
  6. As far as I understand it, even excursions that leave the port (boat tours or the like) area of Labadee don't go beyond the town of Labadee. Back in 2015 my mom did an island tour on a boat that went around the coast of Labadee. I don't actually think I've seen that excursion on more recent sailings though, so, most likely you're not even going out of site of the ship. When I did the kayaking excursion last year, we paddled to a cove basically just behind the main area of Labadee. Maybe a 15 -20 minute paddle each way. And while my under-worked muscles certainly thought we had traversed the entire island, when I turned the ship was still well in sight and I could have waved at the people on their balconies. Lol
  7. Technically (unless they've changed things in the past year) you can cancel onboard as long as it's 24 hours before the excursion start time (and honestly, onboard, I've seen 24 hours be loose - people coming up to the desk at 8-10 pm to cancel their 7 am tour). I don't know if your money is refunded in OBC or back to the original form of payment as the only time we had a cancelled excursion it was due to weather and we had booked it with OBC to begin with.
  8. Saw this offered on my upcoming Harmony cruise and just had to share the laughs. Royal must really be aching for money to charge me $69 to fend for myself (for full disclosure, i guess you're paying for the "private ferry ride" but still....still....come on )
  9. Photo package on my HM sailing for August $299 on sale/$399 standard. I am hoping it comes back down to the $179-199 range with whatever sale Royal is likely to put out for Memorial Day. But Last year, we got it for 149 on allure and I'm pretty sure the standard price was 299....so...fingers tightly crossed for sure. Otherwise...I'm putting my new phone camera and Android's "object eraser" to seriously good use
  10. I think I might be in a serious minority here lol. I like to get on early-ish. I like to sleep in and usually we plan our boarding time around when our hotel check out is so we have time to have breakfast, repack whatever we unpacked the night before and then comfortably head to the shuttle and port. And when it comes to leaving, I do wish we could get off a little later. Mainly, again, to sleep in, do a final did-i-get-everything check and still have some time for breakfast and to say a mental goodbye to ship without feeling rushed or frazzled. (Our departure from Allure last year may have been our most relaxed departure - we got some pastries from the Central Park Cafe and enjoyed them while waiting in the champagne bar for the suite departure time - but even that wasn't relaxing because we had to be alert and ready to jump up and go when the concierge came by) so my ideal is early on late off. but if i had to shuffle it all, i'd have no problem late on late off. More time to enjoy the city we're leaving from.
  11. For sanitary purposes, the bars won't let you hand them the cups to fill but they will give you your soda of choice in a glass which you are then free to pour into your preferred personal tumbler. In terms of filling up the cups in bulk, I've done it. Only for 2 people but no one ever cared. My guess, they figure if you have the cups then you have the package so what's the problem.
  12. We did it on the ship and got approved immediately. Like...it took longer to fill out the form than it did to get the approval.
  13. Considering it took a pandemic and an assassination for them to cancel the port back in 2021...I think you're probably okay. Labadee is tightly controlled and secured from the rest of the island. On top of that, usually most activity is in Port Au Prince which is on the other end of the island from Labadee so I think they take all of that into consideration before cancelling. If they do anything, Royal may cancel any excursions that leave the protected areas
  14. Can confirm Odyssey has the machines. And I believe I saw them in vlogs of Wonder. When we sailed Liberty several years back it was only Sprite, Coke, Diet Coke for sodas. Water and straight Tonic water were also included.
  15. While, yes, you can use your phone while the ship is still in Miami without incurring additional charges (and heck for a little bit as it starts to sail away) but I will warn - sailaway can be distracting. Either by the mini party happening on the pool deck, dinner, karaoke or just walking around, it is entirely possible to forget to put your phone in airplane more with all that going on. Because of that, we usually turn on airplane mode almost as soon as we get on board to avoid this potential. But, if you are going to wait to turn it on, I'd sent an alarm in your phone for the scheduled sailaway time to remind you to turn on airplane mode. Several in fact. Roaming charges are no joke!
  16. I think Orlando is where Go Port operates in Florida and many people say many great things about it. You can get your shuttles (both from the airport and to the ship) along with a hotel as a package through them and apparently it's a good price. I haven't yet had the opportunity to try it myself but it might be a hassle free option you'd like. For ref, the distance from MCO to the port area is, similar enough from Houston Hobby to Galveston (a ride we have done) that I feel confident in quoting $50-$75 one way uber trip.
  17. I will never understand why there were ships without the machines. Really, the soda package feels like such a waste if you're on a ship that doesn't have the machine because you're options are - at best - 3, or, if you're like most people and have a preference, probably just 1. And only at a bar which is much harder to find open at 11 AM and goodness forbid you just want flavored water....either hike up to Windjammer for or be SOL.... It's my biggest complaint with Royal Caribbean, I think.
  18. I think technically it isn't actually allowed. But the enforcement of that is non-existent and I think as long as we (the overall general we) don't damage the doors or take the snappy wordplay too far, they won't bother cracking down on it. It's a fun tradition and obviously they do it too with their own merch so...yeah Anywho, I did something similar with dollar tree plastic tablecloths. The first time I used dollar tree poster putty. Second time I just used magnets. I do recommend the magnets as they were easier to deal with. Dollar tree will have them usually in the school supplied section. Never had issue with either version, though, and our stateroom attendant even made sure to fix anything that went askew.
  19. Unfortunately no Wifi on Labadee and what leaks out of the ship won't get you much farther than the pier/sign. Anyone care to guess if it's just an age thing or if there is some restriction by the Haitian government? (just curious really)
  20. 1 - I love this and hope it rolls out across the fleet. Not only does it do better at ensuring the request actually gets made, it lets people know what other options they have that they may not have known about. 2 - I'm convinced the separate beds is a thing the stewards just tend to forget with everything going on. It's always been on our reservation (cuz I sail with my mom) but it's only been done before we get in the room 50% of the time. I don't really mind it not being done at embarkation since it's not like I'm climbing into bed right then anyway. Usually we come in the room, wipe it down, take note of the stuff and the things and any requests we may have, drop our bags, use OUR bathroom and then go back out to the ship to explore freshly unburdened!
  21. The only MDR room service you can get in a Sky class suite is dinner. Breakfast and lunch are limited to the door card and standard room service menus, respectfully. Also, yes, all room service fees are waived in Sky class and above.
  22. Since we're not yet sure what you're asking, I'll answer what each drink package level is and has. Drink packages are universal across the entire Royal fleet. Every ship offers: Classic Soda Package usually about $10 per person per day, this supplies the cruiser with a souvenir cup with a chip to be used at the freestyle machines on board most Royal ships. Cruisers with this package can forgo use of the cup and just get glasses of soda at the bars, but the options are limited. Refreshment Package price varies but is usually around $25-45 per person per day. This gets you everything from the Classic Soda Package as well as unlimited mocktails, specialty royal caribbean coffee, tea and juices. Deluxe Beverage Package usually around $75 - $100+ per person per day and gets you everything in the above packages as well as unlimited cocktails and beers and wines (up to a certain dollar amount). This is the most popular package for cruisers as it's unlimited nature allows for more freedom when onboard. All of the above packages work on the line's private destinations CocoCay and Labadee. There are also packages that are a one-time payment for water bottles delivered to the room on the first day.
