  1. Question please? We're there any tribute bands? I love live music and prefer a tribute band usually to the house horns etc. Also, so random I know.....avocado toast available in #CK or anywhere else on the ship? Did the concierge lounge offer complimentary soda, beer, wine from 1100 each day or is it the happy hour times only?
  2. @SweetPea I am going hard patriotic this sailing. I stopped and purchased my own gel because I didn't want any pressure making up my mind at the salon. There is a fine line between patriotic and as @Ampurp85 grandma says "hooker" red. I only gel albeit they try to make me dip. Dip is disgusting. I can't do it. I guess I could buy my own but the polish is easier to fix chips. All those fingers in those jars, .
  3. That statement made me chuckle! Your clothing post is great. Now, today was a sh!t show. 3 places before I could get my nails done, the universe was also against the red!! Long story but my appointment wasn't honored I had it scheduled for 1300hrs (always with the same girl) she took someone 15min before my appointment. I was fine until that appointment turned from a simple manicure to a gel, then the Guest hated her gel choice so now she wants it changed.....1345 I left. Now no appointment and everywhere was packed due to the Holiday people off work....finally Go big or go home, meet Ferrari Red. Striped is embarkation top and the anchors are end of the cruise (lots of room) bathing suit. Oh boy here goes, I feel feisty. Not really I actually have a headache!!
  4. Ran to the store today for some last minute items, new toothbrushes, toothpaste, additional lotions and potions for cousin it! I started planning my clothing & I already have to much, going to change this. The exciting thing to report is the concierge Kenny already emailed me back stating my requests were taken care of. Wowza, that was lightening fast. Dragging my feet on the red nails but I'm doing it for the greater good Probably later today. That's it for now, stopped the mail for next week and will mow my lawn Thursday night (yes I do it, part of my evil plan....I do the lawn, I get exercise & that's my justification for booking a suite here & there, I SAVE US MONEY by not hiring a lawn service.) Kiddo is volunteering at the hospital today, I make sure she is keenly aware of how blessed a life she enjoys. Her packing is an ordeal, I try to do it she says "no, I'll do it" then when we are on the ship...mom, do I have any more contacts? Mom any more underwear? Mom any more....fill in the blank! ummmmm.....adding more patches to my list, yikes!
  5. Some pics from last week, Crown Loft I missed you! Kiddo saving live conchs from the tourists. She would find them and put them past the red zone. It made her angry when she saw people taking them to their camps knowing they were alive, the life guard actually thanked her.
  6. So a couple things to share. I don't know why, but why am I so taken by this email contact, it made me feel special. Also I started packing and realized I have blue, black and white not so much red. So tomorrow I'm going to do the unthinkable and paint my nails red. This is not my comfort zone, at all. Yikes! But it must be done. I'll be trying to post lots of pictures because I enjoy all your pictures. You will see repeat outfits especially from Mariner. I have go to flowy & comfy garments I like to repeat. @Pooch made me feel it's absolutely fine. I'm not shopping for new things and then hate them on the ship. So forgive this please. I emailed the concierge back with requested #CK reservations all week and to hopefully modify 2 shows that were wonky when booking. I secured cabash and myself for the Aqua show night one 2030hrs, I could not add my daughter so I have asked for her to be added. Day 3 I have 2245hrs ice show, albeit 2030hrs was there it would not allow me to book it, I need that adjusted because I'm out cold by then, I'm such a party I know. Finally I asked for reservations at Coco Cay Beach Club for lunch. We will see if I hear back. That's it for now..... Oh I checked my sailing, looks completely sold out except for a junior suite on deck 6 for 2. I guess I can put away my RUB excuse list, lol.
  7. Our million $$$ balcony. Next to the pool deck last cabin in the hallway, choose any other cabin. It was anything but concierge or peaceful out there. See the set up on the other side, that was not enjoyable in the least. The cabin inside was beautiful. Not worth the monies though for sure.
  8. Wow I forgot the towel in the shape of Mickey’s head. I'm sorry I unraveled it, I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, it's super odd. I left the other in tact. Also finally some concierge gratuity guidance/suggestion. $8.00 pp in the stateroom per day. This is better then "whatever you think or feel is deserved" There was a very loud man in the concierge advising everyone to tip $ 100.00 to each crew member on the 4 night. I was looking for a name tag to borrow for a minute to get in line! There is always one on every ship on every line.
  9. @SweetPea yes, the shrunken picture. It's much smaller then previous ones. Here is the certificate, Don Williams, so yes Ducky! It is signed as well.
  10. Blasphemy, this is profane talk!!!! We always need a @Lovetocruise2002 blog, ALWAYS!!!! You are my OG of live blogs, don't even think about it!!!!
  11. This made me chuckle out loud. I'm glad you agree, and Im not the only one who does this! Why stress them out with something that most likely won't happen. It's our little secret. I'd rather ask for forgiveness then permission A very Happy Father's Day to all our dads in this amazing RCB community as well. We celebrate you today! Our sailing partners for life!!!! ** we did not bid on the one bedroom aqua as there are 3 of us and a teen with hair to her waist. One bathroom makes for a long 7 nights!!!!! Lotions and potions for days......
  12. Just received my concierge email...wow! They are on top of things, I usually start expecting it by Tuesday before sailing.
  13. Oh one last note about this sailing, the old style muster. It was beyond painful. People were pissed, one guy lost his temper. We were all on top if each other, both sailings people were late and they made us wait. In my mind I was like they have our money and they still hate us! Excruciating would not even be a strong enough word.
  14. Great advice, I was going to look at the island map again. We are walkers, trams are a last resort. The one time we were in Labadee on our Star Class sailing our Genie brought us on the golf cart thing, I felt like a proper jerk passing everyone walking. Any and all tips and suggestions welcome!!
  15. Wanderlust~ strong urge to travel! When: 25 June~02 July 2023 Who: Our little crew, Myself, hubby & 17 year old daughter We are D+ & earning our crystal block here, hoping they have them onboard. Where: Western Itinerary from Port Canaveral in a Crown Loft Driving over from Tampa the day before, booked a two bedroom accommodation at the Marriott Residents Inn right next to the Port. Scored a 1030hrs check in slot! I placed a minimum RUB which was a lot for a 2 bedroom aqua suite & didn't tell Cabash/Vintage Magnet because why upset him as the ship is sold out anyway! But if you follow me you know I have a RUB problem LOL!! In the same breath Cabash is on the frugal side just talking about spending $$ makes him break out in a sweat! Work hard, play harder we only go around once that's my motto! Married 32 years now together 34 you think he would see things my way! We are trying to do a family theme of red, white & blue as far as garments go for a nod to Americas birthday on the 4th of July! Everyone is allowed one carry on, one backpack & purse, if it doesn't fit it's not sailing!! @asquared17 & @Ampurp85 this one's for you! Thanks to @OCSC Mike for sharing his experience on the previous sailing (June 4) & giving me the heads up on what to expect. We are doing the CoCo Cay Beach Club day pass, Nachi-Cocom in Cozumel (first time at this resort) chosen due to all of the positive feedback here on this site & the Easy sloth encounter in Roatan I just lazily booked through Royal & I will avoid the monkeys @Lovetocruise2002 warned me about. My daughter and I are doing the All Access Tour and Cabash will be posing his Vintage Magnet self at the Solarium maybe or suite sun deck. He was not interested in the tour, translation was not paying it for himself. Okay so this is the start, I am hiding ducks but the small ones this time because I only allow so much luggage. Following are some pics, 7 days to go!
  16. Here is some DCL swag and sailing 2 four day duck game, they went hard. So much fun. DCL gave the very big garish Mouse Head lanyards, I used my old ones. We didn't like them, key cards were pretty. We did represent by (me) wearing a Royal cap. Crazy how many people asked if we liked Royal, etc. Cabash actually spoke, he was like the Royal advertising executive. He would not stop about his love for Royal!
  17. Wow, another live blog request. You guys make me feel so special Thank you! Yes it was Dole Whip! I was thinking about you when we dined in Marvel. It was a great show & probably the best menu on board. I saw Spider Man up close & personal. He really looks amazing in his spider tights!! LOL!! Our servers had him come to our table, what a hoot!!
  18. So funny, I was thinking "I'm not that interesting" so I don't want to blog this trip. Even Vintage Magnet/Cabash is like you're not going to blog?
  19. DCL Wish sailing complete, heading over to Wonder of the Seas a week from Sunday in a CLS. Random thoughts, Turn around day for the B2B was so smooth, we were the first back on the waterslide & the infinity adult pool. Cabin transition fantastic, cabin ready by 1200hrs and all our belongings located within new cabin. We skipped the embarkation lunch because honestly the late breakfast we enjoyed was plenty, best avocado toast anywhere. Ducks....I brought them with me, the 3 day I think I was the only ducker on board lol! The 4 day, just wow! There were ducks & I mean fancy ducks, what fun that was. I was floss dancing every time I found one Random observation, on the 3 night sailing the families, most crew & just entire experience was joyful and happy for the most part. The 4 night had a whole different vibe, it was crazy, few smiles, lots of arguing and puss faces...crew that did smile looked haggard so weird! DCL as well had cut backs that I saw. Royal isn't the only one. Dinner portions were smaller and the filet night 1 was not a good cut, #CK is much better. I like Mickey bars after dinner, they used to come out fancy with sprinkles and on a fancy serving dish, now you get a bar in a white bowl. The cabin amenities are cut back as well, no more q tips, shower caps or individual loofah sponges in the cabin. The water is Dasani, period. They were kind enough (my room steward) to get me some Evian in large glass bottles I was able to transfer to cups to drink. There was a Pineapple Smoothie machine on the concierge deck, yay!! That was a huge hit, I laughed as I saw many a dad creating rum floaters on top of that smoothie. Marceline Market their buffet is down sized and the offerings were less as well as few with many "cheaper" option repeats. The Wind Jammer crushes this venue. Again the MDR foods were outstanding the fast food options (Burgers, pizza, barbecue) quality was average. Same at Castaway Cay, lessened the offerings and it seemed just okay. We enjoyed ourselves very much, I still have Disney music in my head. The disembarkation was so fast, so organized....just amazing. So happy we experienced this new ship, but the entire family agrees we are ecstatic we found Royal when we did. Any questions please ask me!
  20. @NancyP Oh no, I never experienced this cabin....Royal canceled it on us one of our last cancelations. It probably isn't that bad as even on the Serenade the only people who seem to venture up to that deck are ones who are staying on that deck. I would anticipate some but very little loud guests bolting off the elevator, just stuff an extra towel at the bottom of the cabin door! Let us know how it works out, happy and smooth sailing!!
  21. It's me, staring at the Independence of the Seas from the Disney Wish concierge lounge on B2B turn around day. 2 decks and gorgeous! My super tiny concierge cabin was very well appointed. (maybe 300 sq ft)The swag was amazing because it's a 25th anniversary and still Inaugural year. Take aways, Royal suites are just larger and I prefer the bath products on Royal. The crew is mostly kind, a bit more aloof especially in the concierge lounge, Royal is a stand out there also but again MOST of the crew are amazing but the ones that aren't on DCL are very apparent and do not seem to care much regarding the guests. The bad or passive aggressive attitudes are on board. DCL food in my opinion has the edge over Royal. Sorry but the menus and food choices are inventive and very tasty. The shows with dinner, um a bit manic BUT I don't have little ones anymore. Our wait staff is amazing, we really lucked out here! The shows technical situation is super elevated, the theater allows concierge to enter before general admission and choose your seats before anyone else, I love this! Disney ques are famous and everywhere even while waiting for the parking deck to open but in the same sentence everything runs very orderly and efficiently. We are enjoying our time on the Disney Wish but family concensus we can't wait to board the Wonder in a few weeks. Royal for the win! What I paid for this 7 night in a concierge family stateroom is more then my 7 night western in a CLS on the Wonder.....Dear Royal, I'm on my way!
  22. @VicB most are reporting and I as well received the invitation at the 60 day mark.
  23. @Pooch Harr travel has a tour of the suite. Sorry I have no idea how to link it here, I put in Harr travel Adventure of the seas 2 bedroom grand suite, it's on you tube.
