So now that we are close to our cruise, 38 days I see there are edocs on our countdown page. We are all signed in and there is that where the info is we need to print out for boarding. The edocs don't need to be printed out for boarding correct? That's just info that is useful for knowing about the cruise port but nothing to show to staff at the port to board or am I missing something? Do you print those out and bring them out anyway? Thanks for any help.

Every since we were in Anthem the first time when our son was 4 he couldn't wait to go back and be old enough to do the bumper cars. Now he is 6 so I guess the rule is he can go with an adult. That is correct right? Is it usually hard to get into that or to do that, meaning should you pre book something like that or just show up when they are doing that? Thanks for the help

We always like to be high up in the ship, 11 or 12 and AFT. That is just our preference. Anthem next month, deck 11 and pretty far back AFT.

The check in thing or app is not available for Anthem of the seas. I just checked, it's only for a handful of ships and Anthem isn't one. We will have to print out our docs. It's not a huge deal.

I'm beyond paranoid because I have a serious fear of flying so I CANNOT miss getting back on the ship. I mean cannot under any circumstances miss getting back on the ship. I will never chance it. Back on WELL before the time. I won't book excursions outside the cruise line, pay more for peace of mind is my motto, Money well spent in my book.

I logged in the other day to my Royal account just to check my reservation and see my countdown to Anthem going down and a thing popped up about an app for checking in at the port so you don't need to print anything out. I guess the boarding info is on this app, show the app at the terminal and they scan it and you board. Is that basically how it works? Which app is it? Anthem isn't a ship you can use this with correct? Thanks, more a curious question because from what I understand this isn't available for Anthem.

I always have them 10 bucks but we only have 3 bags at most. We really do a good job of packing just what we need.

Yeah that's why I have booked in the past with the other TA I used to use. I would always get paid gratuities for 2 but they are not responsive and they weren't giving this deal on this cruise or at least not in the cabins I was looking at. I was ready to move on from them anyway. MEI fit the bill just fine.

Agreed, they are great. No need for anything really, it's a whatever thing. If it's there ok, if not ok.

I booked Oasis for May 2020 through MEI and I was wondering if there were any perks thrown your way. Honestly it's whatever but I guess we'll find out in May. If anything I'd rather have on board credit but again it's whatever.

Yes, that's the most exciting part! Emerald doesn't mean much but being so close to Diamond does. That is a goal of ours. That is when the good perks kick in. If we get 12 points for Anthem next month and Oasis in may that will put us at 71. Just 9 more to go!

Nope, we have only RCI 4 times, 2 more booked. Anthem next month and Oasis May 2020. Princess once and NCL Breakaway once. Who knows what is going on.

Holy cow, now I'm learning something. I'm looking at it right now and it a cruise on Explorer 5 nights to Bermuda in a regular balcony June 3rd to June 8th and it just says 2 points. That is baffling because if you count up the actual points next to our 4 cruises it comes out at 34 points, yet somehow I have or we have I should say 59 points. Anthem 9 nights ,9 points Explore 5 nights, 5 points, Explorer 5 nights, 2 points, Explorer 9 nights 18 points. Does that not come out to 34? Maybe they screwed up all along and fixed it. I'm confused as the title of my thread says. Confused but hey happy, I'll take it.

Well I'm not totally following but that makes some sense then. Our first 2 cruises were in the old system. The first was 9 night in a suite, Grand suite to be accurate. We booked a year or more in advance. That cruise in my account says 18 points earned which always confused me. The other one in the old system was 5 days in a regular balcony and for some reason that says 2 points earned. None of that makes sense to me but maybe your trained eye or experienced mind can explain it?

No don't do that, I'm not gonna ask either. I was curious if on their own they found it. I'll go with it as long as I can.

I booked Oasis May 2020 through MEI and could not be happier. I will keep booking through them because its hard to find a good TA in my opinion. They seem extremely good and competent.
