We were automatically given a low number I think we were the 2nd group to get off,  we were in the car driving out of the car park by 7.30, you can do self carry off from just after 6 from what I remember. It also said if you didn't like the time you were allocated you could take your tags to guest services to get a different number

About how long does it take to clear customs in Southampton?

  2. Trying to  find the answer to the same question. If you use Royal Caribbean transfer they say flights not earlier than 12:30. unfortunately all direct flight to Seattle are earlier so we are thinking about taking a 4 day post cruise tour. To make it easy arrange your airfare through Royal Caribbean and their transfer,

  3. Oasis of the Sea is a great choice, we went in September when its the cheapest, and yes there was a hurricane  but the ship re-routed its stop and we hardly noticed it when aboard.Use royal Caribbean to book you cruise and flights, it anything goes wrong their responsible to correct it, much easer. Had a friend that was cruising when Katrina hit and they were delayed one day at sea. The people that booked their own or used a travel agent were busy on the phone. Royal Caribbean took care of those that book with them.

Entertainment is fantastic, strongly suggest my make reservation online before you go.

Had a nice balcony room overlooking the Boardwalk, but the ac was not very cold, might have because it was on the same level as the garden. Ocean view balcony is a better choice

  4. Does anyone know if they charge to see the doctor aboard ship and how much? Did a cruise awhile back on the Oasis of the Sea, my left leg was swelling and I felt bad but blamed it on the heat. I didn't seek medical attention, blew off my symptoms thinking seeing the doctor would be very expensive. Lucky made it home and was hospitalized with four DVTs and a pulmonary embolism

If you like to do it yourself, we had great fun in Rotterdam riding the water taxis.  We also did a ferry to the Kinderdijk, which is a UNESCO world heritage site for windmills.  Enjoy your trip.

Thank you, The description of Kinderdijk says its "strenuous". My wife is 79 and walks every day. however a lot of stairs or inclines may be to much> Hope strenuous did you find it?
