Can you imagine?! They are $1699 now for our cruise. This stuff is getting insane! The Hideaway Cabanas were cheapest at $1499 ... Thanks to everyone who responded. A Hideout Cabana opened up and we went with that ... with a bit of trepidation... but, hey, YOLO!

This never ceases to amaze me. Our last Norwegian cruise (which was over Thanksgiving) had 35 Diamond Plus equivalents (norwegian separates points, 175-349 is Sapphire and 350-699 is Diamond, so there were 29 Sapphires and 6 Diamonds) and a whopping 2 Ambassadors (700+ points) on a ship with nearly 4k pax. Sometimes i think Royal's loyalty program is a victim of its own success. I say this because for the most part, Norwegian's added tier benefits after Platinum (Royal's Diamond status equivalent) are negligible. I'm not sure of anyone who chases status after achieving Platinum. We're sitting at 290 points (Sapphire) and have no reason to get to Diamond. Heck, we had no reason to go from Platinum to Sapphire.

Pricing has been crazy on our cruise. The lowest i saw them for was $34.99. They are $64.99 now in the Planner.

Here's the deal ... We've rented an OTW cabana at Coco Beach in the past and loved it. However, on our upcoming cruise, i absolutely will not spend $4099 + tax on our upcoming cruise for < 8 hours. Yeah, i can't justify that as we are not sharing the expense. There are 7 Cabanas still left with a cruise date of 5/31. Good for Royal for getting 3 sold; we will not be one of them at that price. I thought about the Hideout Cabanas but i wasn't sure Hubs would go for a pool on a beach. By the time he agreed, they are sold out. Our intinerary is such that we're only getting off the ship at PDCC. Hubs won't get off the ship without a decent home-base where sand isn't getting in his nethers, IYKYK. He's totally a cabana man. That said, which part of PDCC are you booking a cabana if Coco Beach and Hideaway Beach are off the table? South Beach? Chill Island? Not sure hubs would consider Oasis Lagoon? Thanks for any input. .

Ok, i had to look up where you're from because i was genuinely worried for you. I see in your case CPS stands for Chicago Public Schools (at least i hope!). In my neck of the woods ... CPS is Child Protective Services.

I can only imagine. But ... IME (which is based on the only time this happened to us, on Norwegian), that each of you will get a credit, based on fare. So now ... at least in my head ... you NEED to have one more cruise with the 4 of you.

Ha! Batman left his phone on the counter on our Norwegian cruise. Of course he realized it outside the terminal and i messaged the concierge. He found it immediately, but we were being ushered into the car and told to move along at that point. I think it cost us $20 to ship back? More with insurance. It took awhile, so i wish you better luck. But XS? Don't waste my time!

I agree, and i do hope they give those rooms a refresh. We were fine in the OP since it's newer, but when i had a fleeting thought of downgrading to save a few thousand dollars in the Star Loft, i couldn't do it. A week is definitely too short. We've decided that Symphony is our last week long cruise, unless it's a B2B. I feel like you just got on the ship. We also skipped Cats on our first time in Oasis. You all have been way too vocal about it to fall for that. We told Lety we were skipping it and she didn't even try to change our minds.
