Have fun! And if i can offer one piece of advice for the GP: bring slippers or at least a pair of grippy socks. The floor can be cold and slick. I regretted not having a pair of slippers, but as usual, i forgot which cruiseline i was sailing! Be especially careful in the bathroom. We did put a lot of towels down to prevent falls from the wet floor as well.

Point of clarification: Is the crazy dude the blind gent? If so, a full box of Pop Tarts after eating 4 Chick-fil-A sandwiches is impressive. If crazy dude is not blind gent, did you adopt another vintage into your menagerie? Whoever crazy dude is, i sorta don't blame him. It sounds like you could've used the full armor of God to make it through the 23 hour train ride! Vacation is no fun when you're exhausted so i hope you can get plenty of rest before you board!

Ok one last share. I'm off work for a long weekend and just got back from picking up my weekend wine. I wasn't exaggerating. Conundrum *is* often on sale here for $16.99! And yet there is a $2.50 per glass upcharge. Wondering if any other winos agree with me ...Conundrum, like Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, is just ok. They both got popular and inflated their prices accordingly.

I love that we're having such a great discussion on this without animosity or vitriol. In 2019, you couldn't get me to stop bragging about Star Class and i even made a few Haven converts. We LOVED it! It just didn't feel the same this time, although of course the 2 of us have fun together anywhere. I was hoping Royal would see that this was only our 3rd Royal cruise in 15 years, and they had an opportunity for a full-on conversion and they missed the mark. Was anything outright wrong? No, of course not. But there was nothing to really brag about this time either as much as loved Lety.

At least my response was noncommittal, but yours was downright insulting. "No internet" for older ships was especially selected to make your cruise more enjoyable?? I thought i would get somewhere saying that there is very little that sets them apart from the Haven now. Haven is definitely a better value and if you want all inclusive, they offer that for $49 pp/pd, and even with adding that ... the prices are still often better than Star Class. This is how i ended my letter (if i didn't already post this part.) We are the equivalent of D+ on Norwegian, and while we did have fun on Oasis, there was very little about our past Star Class trip that would cause us to chase Crown&Anchor status with you. There simply isn't enough to set you apart.

I think many of us have learned a lesson from Batman. For the record, I've now sold Batman on the idea of packing cubes, just for his underwear. About 95% of his clothes are black. So is all his under shorts, so they can be easy to miss in the Jenga puzzle that is his suitcase. You'll not be at all surprised to learn that he's now bought "cruise underwear," and it's already packed in a blue packing cube in the suitcase ready for the next cruise. Hey, once bitten, twice shy! I hope you know how seriously i live for your posts. I mean, you do make me feel like I'm going to burn in hell because, hey, our families thought we were in Florida for the entire duration of our cruise so we could be sure to travel with just the 2 of us! I'd say i can't wait for you to get on the ship, but i feel like there's too much entertainment afoot on your journey there. To be clear, entertainment for us. Not necessarily you ....

I hope your BFF's mom is OK. If it's any consolation, my mom had her thyroid removed in her early 70s. The recovery was fairly painless and very quick. The worst part was waiting on biopsy results because they send out any removed body part to the lab! I'm dying to hear YOUR assessment of Blind Gent to see how far your mom's relationship with the truth is!
