Though this blog is the one place I go to get real info, I do follow and see chatter elsewhere. Yesterday I saw a few posts fro people who supposedly have friends in the game that were asked to be ready to come back late this month and early next month. Normally I dismiss stuff I have no way to verify but two of the reports came from people who got crew departures correct some time back. I made mention a few weeks ago when I booked another spring run I was making small talk about upcoming cruises likely to cancel. The agent was probably the very best I ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She was adamant that my Harmony in November would be sailing... Who knows... The extensions will eventually end . First trips will eventually happen. I see no reason that we can't be at that crossroad now????

I learned recently that some of the sailings do have "Group bookings". My buddies have a band and have been hired to do a group thing on Oasis in may... Like a charter group within the ope boat. If I want to get in on the special shows and "stuff" I have to book at a premium through their group agency... Otherwise I could get on the same cruise for a lot less... As for the message I'm getting similar in a regular sailing saying "Sailing on a Charter? Details of your adventure will be on board. " I think generic "IF"...

I'm on the same one... I recently booked another cruise later in 2021 not related. As I had done with other booking I made chit chat with the agent (RCL) about upcoming ones most likely cancelling. In the past they were pretty much in agreement that they would cancel. This date though the agent was adamant that she didn't think this one would cancel. The way I look at it is sooner or later the extensions will quit and sailing will begin again. No reason for this not to be that one... What I am bothered about is the cruise planner on line and n the App is showing only 2 days?????? I don't like glitches...

Hadn't considered the time changes as being that significant. I guess they are. I should know... I used to go back and forth between USA and South Africa and even the flights were exhausting... I recall doing an Alaskan trip years back. The time change did mess us up some but not as much as near round the clock daylight... I'm glad to hear they don't run out of stuff to do on the TA cruising days/nights... The one we have picked only has one stop so most is cruising. The TA will be the first "experiment" as noted its a little less $$$... The TP we want is Oahu to Sydney with my all important Tahiti and Bora Bora stops...

Thinking about one or the other or both. Always wanted to say I did Tahiti and Bora Bora for the one and want to do the Atlantic where I'm not the one doing the driving... Anyone done em both? Compare and contrast? The Atlantic one looks like several nights of just sailing. Is there enough stuff going on to keep it interesting with all that cruising time?

Last week I tried to check in. It took info but wouldn't complete. Then I got all logged in and a day later this junk... I'm not really good with what I call "slop". I'm a boat captain myself and like things to be orderly.

I've had most every type glitch I can imagine and this was the first I have seen like this...

Yeah yeah yeah... I know not likely to happen. In fact I'm more likely to get pregnant than it going. Had a couple days glitch trying to check in... While just looking at my account I noticed that this trip which is supposed to be a 7 night is now showing Nov 1- Nov 2 ?????

I'm dealing with moderately similar... The one paying the bills should have full fcc control. If we use her FCC for the Nov1 trip that likely wont go we're all set. Since its not likely to go. Next years trip she would have to take off from college to join us and at that not use but about half for that trip... I am hoping that something goes right soon...

One of the casualties of this delay stuff is that my Fiancee's daughter will be 18 on our next trip (unless Nov 1 does happen). This excludes her from "Fuel" and other organized teen activities at night. Too young to drink but thinking she can catch shows in bars etc? What other suggestions might you have to keep her occupied and happy ? Matt rattled off a lost for daytime stuff... Looking for just night suggestions...

The hold the other night was 40 mins for new booking... I can live with that... There are a couple same itinerary trips next year in that same month. Does it have to be same departure port? Or can it be a near one?

One f the questions I'm having a hard tome finding an answer to is that the daughter will likely not be joining us at least for a few years... Its my understanding is that though I paid for it, it is "assigned to her and can only be used by her"???? As I said if I use it to pay for her fare on the April trip, roughly half will be left out flapping in the breeze.... Something else is coming to mind where I could use it up and that would be a lift and shift to dates she would likely be free from college... Is it allowed to lift and shift a cruise paid for by fcc? Paid in Full???

Ok ... Been moving stuff and booking some new things. Always thinking ahead... Now a new question pops in that I need help with. After all my cancellations, and problems getting refunds I went FCC on a biggie and booked using it another biggie (my central focus if you will). Thats Harmony 7 night two balconies and an Itinerary I love!...Little problem... November 1, 2020.?... Now... Its quite likely that one won't go (I'm being real). Will I have the ability to do a refund being that the fare part was done using FCC? Or, does it have to come back as FCC at 100% (not 125% because I already got it and used it on this one).We're talking fare... The deposit, taxes and fees I paid cash for and I guess that gets refunded like other times???? The reason I'm wondering is multi part... The older teen we are traveling with likely won't be able to make trips after this spring as she will be butt deep in college... I could use it for paying off her part of a trip I booked for April but there will be load left over. Then what? Does that leftover just get lost? I try to be a nice guy and go FCC route but every time I turn around I find I can't really use it. I paid for it but only the one who can use it is the one it was originally intended for?

Update... I did call. Painfully long on hold. ... Then I got what may well be the single most enjoyable agent of all time! I mean it was service above any I have ever experienced with RCL. Friendly, Informative, Positive! I am hoping I get a customer survey on this one as she will get 10 marks across the board! Outstanding doesn't begin to describe it. The one that straightened out 2 refunds and 2 fccs then handled a booking in Harmony was indeed fantastic as well. That one was exceptionally professional but today's had an effervescent personality to just kick it up a notch. I think she talked me into a b2b but need to check school schedules for that ...

We're literally in the same boat. My one I expect to not go is Nov 1... So I've been looking and lots of giant boat options for Nov 2021... I see the 6 and 8 you're talking about but others are 7. East, West or with Perfect day...

Not my field of expertise either... So... I ask... No such thing as a dumb question if we don't know the answer... I just really want the itinerary... Coco/ Coz/ Roatan/ Costa...The kids would get their first "real cruise on a floating city"" and my Fiance would get her 7 nights of pampering and hopefully a lobster night... ?

RCCL is gonna get sick of seeing me... . If I had done the original cruise that cancelled that might have quenched my thirst for a while. Each cancellation since has me booking more and more... ?

First off I don't know if that is allowed. Next, do I have to pay the difference between this years rate and next years rate... Its substantial! Its a Nov 1 cruise so it happening really isn't likely. I just don't want to be the one to give up on it. One of these "extensions" will be the last. Who's to say this one isn't "THE ONE" and that my Nov 1 cruise wont be the first of the "new generation"...?

Was finally (after the power came back last night) to complete it on the computer... The App still not working or showing set sails... ?

Trying to book March run on Indy... Get to the part "We choose your room" and "You pick your room"... Select to pick my own room... (2 Balconies). Only offering guarantee in that section for regular balcony or I can hand pick large balcony room with tiny balcony (For a bit more and we don't want dinky balconies)... Glitch? Should I call (imagine they are jammed up again with recent cancels) ?

Both ways. Shows the info sitting in there but not really checked in. Added card to charge, checked the agreement boxes. The app says “snag” the on line doesn’t say anything. Just not locked in. I’m in Jersey with destroyed house no electric and weak cell service to retry .

Go ahead... Laugh... One of these extensions will be the last and there will be a first new sailing. Nobody knows when that is...
