  1. @AshleyDillo Thanks for the info. Was that through the cruise line or an independent? If an independent, which one?
  2. I'm starting to plan excursions for our September cruise that will visit Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. We're bringing the kids with us on this time, and I think they would really enjoy snorkeling. In my initial planning, I was looking at an independent tour in Roatan that visits the monkey and sloth sanctuary, and chocolate and rum factories, hitting Maya Chan in Costa Maya, and maybe one of the beach clubs in Cozumel. The kids would love the animal sanctuary in Roatan, but I don't really have my heart set on any of them. We can do our own beach snorkel at Maya Chan or Cozumel; however, I know snorkeling from a boat will be much better. Is there an excursion you would recommend for snorkeling with youngish kids at these ports? Thanks!
  3. Ha! I was thinking as I was typing that I needed to check the year! I'm sure I would have loved it. ? Liberty, September 1, 2019.
  4. We're going on Liberty sailing September 1, 2018.
  5. We splurged and went with the Family / 2 bedroom Grand Suite on Liberty for my 40th birthday. This will be our first cruise with our kids who will be almost 11 and 7 at the time of the cruise. Is there a minimum age for the Suite Lounge? We don't plan on spending all evening in there, but can we all come in to grab a pre dinner drink and get the kids a soda to take to the dining room? We have the refreshment package so I'm not worried about the cost of a soda, I just want to make sure they are allowed in the first place. Thanks!
  6. I'll be sailing on Liberty in September. I am not a coffee drinker, but I will take a chai latte all day long. Does anyone know if the Cafe Promenade offers them? Thanks!
  7. I found this on another website with the same topic. I haven't tried this one, but it looks good. Hot Spinach Cheese Dip 1 can 13.75 oz. quartered artichokes hearts, rinsed and drained 2 green onions, chopped 1 garlic clove, minced 1 T. butter or vegetable oil 1 bunch fresh spinach, rinsed, trimmed, drained and chopped. 1 1/2 T. flour 3/4 C. whipping cream 1 1/2 C. shredded Monterey Jack cheese 1/4 C. grated Parmesan Cheese 1 T. pine nuts (optional) Salt and pepper to taste Tortilla chips In a large skillet, saute artichoke hearts, green onions, and garlic in melted butter, stirring often, 2 to 3 minutes, until onions are limp. Add spinach and continue cooking 1 minute, until cooked down. Stir in flour and cook, stirring 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually stir in cream and heat until mixture boils and is slightly thickened. Stir in Jack cheese, Parmesan cheese and pine nuts. Heat just until cheese is melted. Do not boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon into a heat-proof serving dish and serve with tortilla chips. Make 4 to 5 servings.
  8. My son is the same way... and he hasn't been on a cruise yet! I started showing the kids pictures of our past cruises, and we have talked about AO and the water slides. He's been all in ever since. I've created a monster, and we don't sail for 280 something more days!
  9. It's been about 7 years since our last cruise, but we had a blast. Keep in mind that it is supposed to be an over-dramatic, fun (sometimes silly) show, not Shakespeare, and you will have a great time. It's been so long that we can't remember the story line, or they have probably changed it by now anyway, so we'll probably go again on our Sept. sailing if it's offered for a date night.
