  1. Do we think that this means they'll take some of the ships that we currently have away? Such as the soon to be amped Voyager? Why do you think they are sending the smaller ships to Australia?
  2. WHAT! I was already looking forward to giving my drinks package a work out, but I did not know there would be Mimosa's easily available at breakfast. This makes me very happy.
  3. Hi All! Just wondering if there are any internet options available on the ship without getting Voom, similar to how a hotel may have WiFi access in the lobby but not the rooms? After reading some of the awesome live blogs, I am thinking I might like to do one myself on my sailing later this year, but I am not really interested in getting the internet package. I like the idea of being disconnected, and my whole family will be in the ship with me, so I don’t need it for communicating with those back home, and tbh I don’t want to spend the money! Anyway, advice much appreciated.
  4. To piggy back on this, I don't really understand the App chat. Do you need VOOM for it to work, or no? The ship I am going on doesn't have the app, but it's also getting amplified later this year before my sailing so I am guessing it might get it after that similar to what Navigator did. But if it doesn't, how does one get imessage to work without VOOM as well?
  5. @twangster I am super excited! Yes it is school holidays during that time. The cruise is also over the Christmas period, so I don't know how that will affect the demographic either, but I'm pretty sure it will be a fairly full sailing. It's also Summer here in the southern hemisphere so even if it's cloudy, it will be quite warm. Thanks for your advice, guess we'll just play it by ear then!
  6. Hi all! I am going in my first cruise this December on what will be on the newly refurbished Voyager of the seas. The cruise is out of Sydney Australia for 9 nights. We have 2 sea days, followed by 4 port days (South Pacific), and another 2 sea days. With so many sea days, we’ll have plenty of time to take advantage of the ship activities as well as lounge by the pool, but my question is in which order should we try to do them? Has anyone noticed whether the pool is busier on sea days earlier in the cruise or later? Are people getting burnt out with activities and ports and spending more time on the pool deck at the end, or getting their cruise started in a relaxing way and spending the first sea days there? Thanks in advance.
  7. Yes! I got this email too! I'm really excited to see what the bit prices are, but will probably have a while to wait. Not sailing until December on Voyager ?
  8. Hi all, So I’ve gone and pulled the trigger on a delux drink package purchase for a sailing over Christmas 2019. My parents have decided at the moment not to buy one. My question is, am I able to use my bottled wine discount to gift bottles of wine to them? Eg if we’re at dinner, can I buy them a bottle of wine which the MDR staff can then store under their room number for use next time they are in the dining room? Thanks for reading!
  9. Sales started for Australia. https://www.royalcaribbean.com.au/come-seek/pcp-sale I am slightly underwhelmed. Most frequent discount is just 5%.
  10. Oh dang i didn’t get an email! The drink prices did drop today though so I wonder if that is the final sale price or if Black Friday sales are on top of that. Nothing else looks to have dropped in price however.
  11. The price of mine dropped too from $62usd to $55usd which is what we were advised it would cost in the first place when we books the cruise. When I very first signed into CP it was $69usd. So I don’t know what’s going on there...
  12. Hi @mattymay, we did look at this but they are only offering this for a balcony room. So combining this room upgrade with the fact that prices over all have gone up for this cruise since we booked several months ago (it's a Christmas sailing), it would be more expensive to cancel and re-book unfortunately.
  13. Hi All, I am heading off for my first cruise in December 2019 to the South Pacific on Voyager of the Seas. I've been doing a crazy amount of research to learn everything I can, and saw that there are often Cruise Planner sales, and that there may be one coming up on Black Friday. While we don't have Thanksgiving here in Australia, retailers do have Black Friday promotions, so my question is, when these Black Friday sales happen (or any cruise planner sale for that matter), are they offered world wide? I'm looking to purchase a Drinks Package, however at the current price of $86.00 (apx 62 USD), it's a bit expensive. Thanks!
