I sure as heck asked Alaska last night if she was going to order the chili lime salmon after she told us all about how she won't do cruise ship fish. I'm going to ask her if she tried any of the desserts from the Windjammer tonight. She had a bad experience in the WJ and refuses to set foot in there ever.

We are on our final approach to Roatan. I had a brewery tour booked but it got canceled due to a lack of participation so it will be another relaxing port day for me. I may get off and walk around the port shops just because they are super close..but I am also lazy so no promises. I've been to Roatan a handful of times. None of the other tour options looked appealing. I am much less adventurous when I am solo.

I don't send out anything that I care about..that's for sure. It is helpful to fit 7+ nights in a carry-on. It's nice to come back and be able to dump all the clean stuff back into my drawers..or repack for the next cruise

I definitely take advantage of the laundry wash & fold every time simply for the folding! It makes everything fit so much better in my suitcase when I leave.

You can always ask..better than being surprised with a charge. Usually the room stewards are eager to please and will give you a bottle of lotion. However, the shampoo/body wash/conditioner is not removable from the shower.

I think if you put the berths down you would be more aware of them and less likely to hit your head. Or if there's a couple or a single person in that second room, with the lower beds pushed together that gets them away from the walls and it's less of a problem. I always did it when I went to sit down on the bed and leaned back to far and hit the corner. When the beds were pushed together it was never an issue for me.

Last night my handcuff beastie didn't show for dinner. Neither did scuba boy (who apparently won 2nd place at the belly flop competition). So it was just chatty Alaska and her new friend that she invited to join us. What killed me last night is Alaska made it a point to sit in the chair next to where handcuffs had sat the first 2 nights so she could talk to her, leaving her new friend on the complete opposite side of the table by herself. Then her friend's salmon was overcooked and that was a whole thing. I think I lost my voice from saying, "Thanks, everything was great" eleventh five hundred times to every random crew member that had to stop by the table because the salmon was dry. Alaska won't eat seafood on cruises because she catches and cooks her own and it is much better, which I don't doubt at all and didn't doubt any of the 10 times she mentioned it

There's definitely a difference in the quality of offerings on this ship from the Oasis class ships. MDR is consistent but the Windjammer has been very sparse in variety comparatively. We definitely do not see the steak and shrimp you Wonder cruisers saw. Makes me even more excited to get back to Icon.

You are a shenanigans magnet for sure! I'm fortunate that I don't get unsolicited conversations from random most of the time..just the way I like it. Although last night when I was walking around the casino this vintage came up to me out of nowhere right up into my face and asked me how to use the slot machines. Before I knew it I was showing her how to set her PIN number and charge to her room. Then she asked me how she gets a drink and I told her to look for the servers as they roamed. Then I offered to get her a drink at the bar and she took me up on the offer

Maybe It doesn't give me the menu option for Utopia..and I don't have any other Oasis class to check. I won't be eating in the MDR on those sailings so it doesn't matter to me

Interesting..I can get to menus on my Wonder and Oasis sailings but none of the other ships I am booked on. Some of them don't even show the MDR in the dining options.

It's really a disturbing look into the human condition. Someone apparently knocked a lady off of her scooter yesterday too..not related to the pool bar fight.

This pretty much sums up the griping. I haven't decided if I'm going to be motivated enough to get off the ship today. I haven't been motivated enough to leave the cabin yet this morning. Not having to share a bed with this bed hog has been glorious, not gonna lie.

Maybe too many complaints because the menus were reflecting the current cruise sailing and not the sailing you had booked? Folks were trying to rely on menu rotations for sailings months away..way too many variables from sailing to sailing can make this an imperfect practice.

Facebook never lets me down...apparently there was a Pool Bar fight yesterday that sent someone to medical. And those involved in the fight are going to be kicked off in Cozumel today.

Not sure..but I noticed it recently as well. I was trying to look at the menu before my cruise and the MDR wasn't even listed in the dining options. Once I boarded and connected to the wifi it was there along with the menus.

They are not removable and yes, you need to be mindful when sleeping on the lower berths. I clocked myself in the head several times on those upper bunks when they weren't in use.

No clue..but once you are on the ship the dining room menus are available. It doesn't appear they are letting you see them prior to boarding any longer.

There's got to be a story here...

Wonder is the better ship, but Symphony has the better entertainment. You can't really go wrong with either.

I usually spring for the extra cost and get some food at Playmakers. There aren't any complimentary options that really are away from the masses on that ship class unfortunately.

When you get used to Promenade ships, you forget how much the older ships open to the ocean. Icon did a great job bringing back this concept. (Photos from yesterday.)
