  1. I have a My Time Dining Reserved for 6:00pm and would like to book another onboard activity for 7:30. How long does My Time Dining really take? I am planning on arriving promptly at 6:00, so I should be finished by 7:15 or so, right?
  2. When I arrive back in Miami on my disembarkation day I plan to grab an Uber to go to my hotel, since I fly out the next day. I realize that I am going to be one of 3500 people leaving Mariner of the Seas at that time (and no telling how many others leaving other ships). Realistically, how long should I expect to wait to get an Uber?
  3. I am booked on the Nov 12, 2018 cruise on Mariner of the Seas out of Miami. Seeing all of the talk in other threads about Mariner possibly using the new Miami terminal, I decided to check my cruise documents on which terminal I will be leaving from. In the documents, it does not mention which terminal to go to. It just says Port Miami. How do I find the specific terminal? Which terminal is the new RCI terminal? Thanks Steven
  4. Would it be possible to get a picture of some of the menus for the specialty restaurants? I will be on her on November and I am curious about the menus. All that are posted on RC Blog are from before the refurb. Thanks.
  5. I am going to be on Cococay this coming November. I have booked one of the clamshell type shades but I am not sure it was a good choice. I plan on snorkeling and kayaking, with a little lying on the beach. From what I can tell, the beach with the clamshells is about 500 meters away from the snorkel beach. Too far, in my estimation. I am thinking of cancelling the clamshell and just renting an umbrella. How much are the umbrellas? Are they large enough to shade two loungers? Can I snag a couple of loungers, set up the umbrella and go snorkeling without worrying about losing my spot? An alternative would be to spring for a cabana or bungalow. Where are these located? TIA Steven
  6. Chris, On Cococay, where do the workers (station attendants, grill workers, lifeguards, etc) live? Do they come from the ships that dock there?
  7. Hi all,I am taking my first cruise this coming November.I just signed up for the VOOM Surf + Stream package on Mariner of the Seas, because of the weekend sale. I am wondering if the wifi connection is 2.4ghz or 5ghz. TIASteven
  8. Chris, This is very interesting information. Thanks for doing this. How many rooms is a room steward typically responsible for? Steven
  9. I am booked on Mariner of the Seas this coming November. I know that they just added the Sky Pad to the ship, a kind of bungee jump / trampoline where you jump and can wear VR goggles. My question is what is shown on the googles while you are jumping. I can think of all kind of heart pounding images that could be shown, but what is it, really? Steven
  10. Thanks for all the advice. Since I am a newbie, I am over-planning everything. Heck, sometimes that seems like part of the fun.
  11. I am booked on a Nassau Cruise on the Mariner of the Seas this coming November. According to the schedule, the ship is supposed to arrive at 8:00am. What does that really mean? Is the ship arriving at the port at 8 or are people actually walking off the ship at 8? We were hoping to take a tour starting at 9 (through Viator, not RCI) and were wondering if this is a realistic time. Thanks in advance. Steven
  12. Here is my dilemma. My room is perfect otherwise. It is not near elevators or noisy places. There are only staterooms above and below. I am worried that if I move I will get a room that is noisier in other respects. What to do, what to do???
  13. My wife and I are booked on the Mariner of the Seas on Nov 12. I was assigned my cabin and I see that it is a connecting room. I have heard that in connecting rooms you can hear the passengers in the other room. Should I call and request a different cabin? Steven
