I completely agree! We do the same. I like to get all the value I can out of any experience

Day 6 - turnaround day Back In Port Canaveral. It’s a nice cool morning. We all went and had breakfast in the MDR as part of our ‘the key’ package. It was lovely and quite delicious. Then wandered around the ship for just a little bit and then said goodbye to our friends and saw them off the ship about 9am. We headed to hang out in the start lounge until our time to do our thing. About 9:45 they took all the consecutive cruisers (I’d say around 40 people) and walked us off, thru immigration and then back on. All in all a very smooth process that took maybe 20 minutes. We walked around the ship, very much enjoying how empty it was, then settled in to the Schooner bar for a BBC and some games. We went to the welcome aboard show, and enjoyed the comedy show. internet is struggling right now and having trouble loading pictures, so I’ll have to add those later

Day 4 - sea day continues As you can see behind me, not a busy pool deck day! Because of the weather, inside was PACKED today! Voyager does not handle bad weather sea days very well at all. Last cruise was on Navigator and it was much better. More venues inside for people to spread out. We ended up grabbing a window table at the Windjammer and played games for a bit Day 5 - CocoCay! I was excited for this day. My first time here! Sail in was beautiful. We have been following Icon and she was already docked as we came in. Pretty incredible ship! We splurged and got an over water cabana for the 6 of us. I snagged it on a one day sale for $1500, the cheapest I saw it other than that was $2400 and mostly it was pushing or over $3k! the weather was off and on, and got super windy as the afternoon came, but we still had a great time. We absolutely loved the cabana and all the service that came with it. It was such a relaxing day and just what we all needed. Our attendant came by about every 15-20 minutes and would bring us anything we wanted. It was amazing. They use these electric trikes to go back and forth and makes the service super quick The food here is outstanding. He would bring us as much as we wanted of anything and was happy to do so! The steak was the best we have had by far. Amazing. We maximized our time here and got off the ship at 8am when the gangway opened, and left the cabana just about 4 when they were going to kick us out. Sail away at sunset was beautiful. Headed back to port Canaveral!

It’s true. This next cruise may be better for it, as our friends are getting off today
-
Had that and it was amazing! I’ll definitely have it again!
-
Kraken coladas are definitely on my list too and I have had several of them! I’ll have to try those too!

This is an area where they said the salt and fresh combine. We didn’t snorkel here LOL

Ok, so it’s been a few days already with no updates, whoops! Honestly I could not figure out how to log in here on my phone, so I had to wait and get my iPad out. Anyhow, its day 4 now and a sea day, I’ll try and start from the beginning! Day 1, Boarding - We had a rental car that we returned at the Enterprise location and took their shuttle over. We arrive at the rental car location at 10am, boarding was easy and we were on board, mustering finished and with drink in hand at 11:20 We followed out Utopia, Disney Wish, and Princess out of the port Day 2, At Sea - We started the day with a nice quiet game on the promenade, 7:30am is such a great time to be out! The pool deck today was crazy. So many people! I think this ship must be sailing at full capacity. We have a table for 6 with our two couple friends that came with us, and it’s been fantastic. Our waiters are the best and treat us amazing! Day 3, Cozumel - Our first time here! Beautiful sunrise from the balcony We headed off the ship about 10am to walk around the port area and check it out. Our excursion was not until 12:15 so we had a little time We did a “monster jeep” tour and really enjoyed it! Drove to the end of the island and had an amazing snorkel excursion at the beach. Saw some wildlife on the way! Sunset from the Viking crown lounge was incredible Day 4, At Sea - Started out with a kraken lava flow at breakfast, so you know its going to be a good day! Got our drink carrier out and ready to hit the pool deck! Currently sitting on the pool deck and its raining and blowing, so not many people out here! Going to try and get on here more often over the next week. If you have any questions, or drinks that I need to try, drop a note!

Thats fantastic.. I’ll admit I haven’t been very active the last couple years, so it went over my head! Those were my thoughts as well. The locker there is a nice touch too for when we want to go explore When talking to our friends, originally he thought it was just a daybed situation and was very against it for the price, but then after some YouTube videos, he was sold for the privacy and “away from the people” aspect Thanks for your thoughts on it all! I am so ready to get there. We have had snow in Washington the last few weeks, and we have been in Southern California this week and its been cool and rainy
-
That’s interesting. What did you think was so much better about the over the water?
-
Awesome info.. Thanks!

Thanks! We land at about 6pm, so not sure what we will do for food yet. Technically will feel like 3pm to us, and we get a meal on the plane so I am sure we will be all messed up! It’s definitely a splurge, but across three couples it put it in a “reasonable” realm. Good to know about getting food from anywhere! How long did it take to get food after you ordered? And how did you know what the menus were that you could order?

We are doing this for the first time next week. I’ve got a National SUV from MCO to enterprise at the port, and then again from enterprise back to MCO. Spending some time at Disney both before and after the cruise. I did book both thru National, not sure if that makes a difference or not as far as availability?

Going to try and do a “ride along” on this cruise! I did one on our first cruise way back in 2019 and really enjoyed it, so I thought I would give it a shot again! We are flying SEA>MCO on Feb 13th and spending a few days around Disneyworld, because why not? We are flying this far anyhow, might as well take advantage of it! We are leaving the kids home for this one. The excuse for this cruise is my 40th b-day (which is actually today). We have two couples joining us for the first leg of the cruise, and then it will just be us the second! Really looking forward to the stops. We did Labadee in 2019 and was amazing, so looking forward to that. We have not yet been to Coco Cay, and we got a decent deal on an overwater cabana in the club there! Just three more days of work! Gotta pack it all in before we leave!

mmm, I love RumChada! We were on Navigator on March 15th, and I didn't find anything there that was like it, other than Baileys, which isn't really the same thing... Where did you see those little creamer cups?

The worst day of the cruise... The day is here, the day we leave our home on the seas... We pulled into Miami around 5am, and from what I could tell, we were cleared and self disembarkation started around 6:45am We headed up to Chop’s about 8:15 for our breakfast, it was delicious We decided not to use our Key benefit for disembarking because we wanted to leave with my cousins, they had the latest departure possible, so we wandered around the ship a bit. The next cruise is the Zumba chartered cruise, so the pool deck was oddly empty, and they were craning in a ton of equipment We were let off the ship about 9:20, and going down the gangway, we passed the crane When we got to the baggage area, our bags were already off the belt and waiting for us, assuming because of the Key Going through customs was super easy, nothing like I was expecting. We were out on the curb about 9:30. Driving away from the port, the last view of the ship, you can see the crane putting crates up on top We had decided to rent a car for the four of us to drive up to Ft Lauderdale, that ended up being quite an adventure with shuttles and Uber’s to finally get us a car at the Miami airport, and we had to try a couple of them before we found one to fit all of our baggage We stayed at a hotel for the evening, and now we are at the airport waiting for our plane. Thanks so much for following along, this has been fun, and I think it actually caused me to take more pictures and remember things more to be able to document them. I don’t know when our next cruise will be, but likely something from the west coast, burning a couple days flying back and forth just makes it hard. I am jealous of all you guys that can just hop on a long weekend cruise!! -

Day 9 - Last full day.... Didn’t take a ton of pictures today, but I have a few We had a slow start to the morning, and went to the spa about 9 for a nice massage / nap! We were done just after 11 and went to the Windjammer for lunch. After lunch, we caught the show with the house band, it was a big band style and we loved it We went out on the deck and played shuffle board for a bit before heading up to the pool deck pro-tip, do the pool at slides starting at 5PM, there is no one out there! While walking the halls today, I looked up and noticed this right outside our cabin door, makes sense that we had good WiFi reception all throughout the cabin! Tonight’s dinner was at the Windjammer, it was seafood night, which meant I grabbed a burger and fries from the kids section After dinner was the fair well show in the theater, it was great After the show, we hung out at the Bamboo room, this became our favorite place to relax! Played some games and enjoyed our last few hours The Key breakfast was moved to Chop’s grill tomorrow -

Day 8 - at sea Today was our first of two sea days headed back to Miami, and it was wonderful! I got up early and took my laptop down to the promenade about 7:30 to get some stuff done, it was wonderfully quiet down there, and I grabbed some fruit from the Cafe. A little later in the morning, they had a Bloody Mary bar set up on the promenade There was a “flash sale” on accessories, and it got pretty busy I stopped in one of the shops, and noticed that the ship models have already bred updated with the new slides and such, but a lot of the picture related items have not While wandering around, we came across the Stowaway Piano Player. This guy is awesome We went to a Q&A with the singer/dancer/ice skaters that was quite interesting. Did you know that the singers and dancers will help out backstage with costume changes etc. at the ice show, and the other way around? They also run spot lights for each other’s shows Tonight was formal night, we went to the main dining room With celebrations of the the 50th anniversary for Royal, the had birthday cakes Tonight’s headliner show was a Whitney Houston tribute, she was great! She was backed with all live music from the house band, they are incredible. After catching the late show, we wandered around the ship more, made a stop at the R Bar and got a red velvet, wow! After playing some late night (early morning) mini golf, we decided to call it a day. Last full day tomorrow! -
We are on Navigator right now, our first cruise. We get back to Miami on Sunday, and I am planning on just getting an Uber or Lyft when we have all our bags and are ready to go
