FlowRider private session (without the lesson) with Andrew & family this morning. I was saying to Lisa how great it was to have company on the bench! Hubby was off to a shaky start. He said yesterday the board here was different. I have no idea what that means or how to explain it, but he is getting more used to it. The session was an hour long. 

Could have been. We were out there the entire time. 
I actually watched us arrive in Nassau today. Up way too early. Don’t want Hubby to feel like I am an unsupportive wife or anything 😄 heading to the FlowRider now with my Starbucks 

Like I mentioned earlier, sail away happened around 7:15pm. It was a gorgeous sail away! Not only did we get to turn around in the basin, but it was just in time for sunset. I could not filter through the photos, I love them all, so here is a sail away photo dump. 

CK filet night was amazing!!! Do you want to know why? First of all, we had the funniest waiter, Steven. Hilarious and full of personality. I am sort of sad we aren’t eating more meals in there this sailing. This guy is fun! But to the really good stuff…the absolute highlight of the evening was what came with the filet! Normal filet in CK comes with truffle mashed potatoes but they usually look like regular mashed potatoes with maybe a hint of truffle oil. Not the ones tonight! There were actual pieces of truffle mixed into it. Omg! It was so flavourful, I just about died and went to food heaven! I am sort of sad that Hubby did not capture it in his photos, but you will have to take my word for it. 
 

Let’s just say that frosted glass gives way to a “shadow puppet” show. 🙈 mega downside to the suite lmao. Will need to change strategies tomorrow. 

I find out who the captain is. Also, apparently we were waiting for those who had travel delays but then later when Hubby was on the FlowRider (and I was uploading room pics) he said that he heard the captain make an announcement about thrusters needing repairs. Then later at dinner, we heard that they had divers down there looking at them. So a combination of things led to the the delay.
We eventually got on the move around 7:15pm. Made for a gorgeous sunset sail away! I uploaded some video clips to IG. Will try to post pics later when Hubby sends them to me. 
 

I wish! The cabana is a no go. 
 
I thought so too! This is a really good thing they are doing for those who are already feeling very stressed. I still want to know how many of those we are waiting for are air2sea people.

Lots!

We are on board! Well we were actually on board a while ago. Got here around the same time as Andrew and Lisa and we all boarded together with Shane. That was just before 11am. 
Our luggage arrived just after us, so very quick. Less than 30 mins after we arrived in our suite. 
The room is awesome! Just finally getting a chance to sit down now and soak it in a bit as I write this. Yeah, I am not leaving this room for the next 7 days. Kids said this room doesn’t even feel like we are on a ship. 
Lunch was at Portside BBQ. And best part? Shane had time to join us for lunch! 

Off to Next Cruise now. Will post room pics when I return from there. Get ready for a massive photo dump. 😉

Have fun!! I'll just pretend I'm there with you since this is our first March break in probably 20 years that we haven't cruised. ☹️

I have been making noise since 6:55am. We ate breakfast and now just back in the room packing up last minute stuff. We ran into the hotel manager in the club lounge earlier and he assured us that everything is fine with our reservation. So we don’t have to rush as much to check out now. Planning to leave here around 10am. 

So happy! As I told @asquared17 in her blog, I had really hoped that Oasis would be parked the other way facing Miami when it’s our turn to board. The picture isn’t great, but it looks like she is!! It’s going to be a great sail away! 

I still cannot believe that after all this time, this is actually happening!

Tomorrow the plan is to check out of here around 9:45am. Trying to leave some buffer time in case we need to sort anything else out with the charges.
Shane has already set up a WhatsApp chat with us. Every genie is different. Some don’t do it until the morning of the cruise, some do it way ahead of time, and Shane set it up today. 
I am so excited for tomorrow. I cannot even put it in words. Today, over dinner, I was telling the family that all day long, I was just thinking of lying out on that balcony. One more day…😌

By around 4pm, everyone was shopped out, and tired, so we headed to La Bamba!!! Best part of the day. I tried something different tonight. I got the fish tacos and really liked it. Usually, the chimichanga is my go to, but I wasn’t feeling it today. Thank you to @LandstromCruise and @AGSLC5 for leading us this way. The family sends their thanks as well.

Oh no! I have been seeing all day on the roll call group that people’s flights have been cancelled or delayed. There are so many people driving in. I was just saying to Hubby and the kids that I feel for all these people because I know what that feels like. Drive safe! 
I know. I feel for everyone big time! It’s terrible and stressful.

We made it out with just 8 hardcovers. 😂 I asked them how they plan to carry these home?

Some good news to report. While we were waiting for the freeloaders to get ready, Hubby and I ventured down to the front desk again. A different manager was on duty so we asked to speak with him and hopefully get another perspective. Oh my, talk about night/day difference! This manager was awesome!
After we explained the situation to him, he asked to see the voucher in my app, and that was it. He said he will remove the charge for the second night, no problem. We were stunned. Hubby and I were like, “This is exactly the way it should have played out yesterday!” Anyway, still won’t be totally relieved until we see the bill tomorrow, but I am pretty sure it’s resolved. But the manger this morning told us not to worry, it will not show up on the bill tomorrow.
