There is a cheaper option than installing meters: Each chair will have a barcode , people will be able to scan it using the application which will start a virtual timer. To reset the timer you scan it again or just seat in the chairs . The crew can scan the barcode to check if it is reserve or not and will be able to remove things from the chair incase time is over . That way when things are removed the crew will also know to whom the belong.

Nowere as far as I know I just thought about the cruise crew who comes from different countries , some get the Russian vaccine , some the Chinese , some get the Indian one and some can not get any. I wonder how the cruise companies will be able to admit the vaccine to their crew. Thinking about it even the AZ which is widely admited in Europe is not yet FDA approved...

Have to agree - IT and all around it such as : 1. The app - not clear when its possible to do check in if at all , the information is missing most of the time such as personal information and public information (ship details) 2. Web site - The program rules not clear , its not clear for baggers that you need to book things like photo packages and internet only for one person. 3. Have anyone tried to add his free diamond free internet to already exiting internet package on ship ? good luck doing it yourself. Ship : 1. The muster drill , specially for ships its being done outside, 2. Customer services lines. 3. chair hogs and ignoring them by the crew. 4. The story of the health department not yet approved the health protocol is not new and I guess if its just for the health department they would not allow it , but it is not. As long as its allowed to buy a ticket and go to Greece and Cyprus I do not see any way they will not approve it even if the cruise are not vaccinated as long they are not going out to port. there is allot of pressure by local tourist industry not to allow it as they want the vacation budget to stay in Israel spent on local hotels and restaurants after all if we have 3000 people per sail and 17 sails we are talking around 200000 nights ... On the other hand the political climate will not allow to cancel the cruises unless Greece and Cyprus will have dramatic jump in new cases with the Indian variant. Regarding the crew getting the vaccine , that remains one of the big question not just for the cruise from Israel but also the cruises from the Caribbean.

Actually , cruise already ask you to declare about your health condition and suppose to prevent you from boarding if you suffered from several health issues few days before.

In other words , cruise from Florida will start only once enough people will got the vaccine to achieve herd immunity.

This is just a way of RCL to protect themselves and get ready for any type of request that will come from the Israeli health department. Few days ago the health department announced that there isn't yet an agreement to allow the cruises and people should not book them yet. Not sure if it was official announcement or just an idea of one person there that got envy with the CDC has it was only published once and I can't find it anywhere.

Since I am not in the US and do not have access to local TV there , did one of the cruise companies or CLIA have done any commercials describing all the work place they are adding in Miami and in the US ? Something like , when you tale a cruise you are given jobs to the local porters , the taxi drivers you take to the ports ,the hotel worker you are staying before and after , the people that works at the food providers facilities, the waiter in the restaurant and many many others .

The only thing that can be used as a leverage to push CDC to allow cruising is to show deep reduction in the new case numbers for a while. If I compare it to what happened Israel it will happen when you have around 40% people with first shot and 30% that fully vaccinated . Considering the number of shots admitted every day in the US it should happen by the end of this month or beginning of May ....

Oh , but you know what will happen , yes the CDC will announce the simple protocols in few days and it will be something like that : 1. Only people that got two vaccine shots will be allowed to board beside people that got it from Pfizer , AZ, Moderna or any Chinese/Russian vaccine , your are OK if you got two shots of the JJ vaccine. 2. People who want to cruise will need to bring a letter from their doctor proving they never catch a cold in their life . 3. The ship Captain name should start with Z and and with X , captains who changed their name on the last 10 years can not participate. 4. The number of people who are allowed on the ship will be calculate by the fowling simple formula length of the ship divided by the number of floors multiply by the integral of the ship stern multiply by square root of -1/2 + but no more than 10.5 including the crew. 5. The ship will be divided to 4x4 areas to avoid social contact , each area will be paint with one of 3 different colors while each area can not have a border with an area that has the same color. 6. Once the ships will be ready a one year test can start from Johnston atoll.

We have done the Chef table few times and it seems that the menus are the same between the ships we some very small changes but I feel the experiance of the chef table is a combination of the food , the wine paring and the company.

Consider the fact that I belong to the "quarantined" age group , totally completely sarcastic

You know what ? Let's take all the people above the age of 40 or 45 and put them in quarantine cities , this way we will protect them without effecting the young people live. Anyway they do not contribute much for society anymore and the anooing part is that they take too many cruises which bring the price up while effecting the entertainment programs on board, it will be a win win.
