Most people either round up their beers or tip $1 per mixed drink. Some give a larger amount at the beginning of the night.  I get it, the concert tickets can be expensive and then the price of the drinks are ridiculous but honestly we are all there mainly for tips.

Thank you, very helpful. I have not been to labadee or had a cabana so I was not aware.

  2. Labadee. Labadee was beautiful. We spent the extra money that we didn't spend in Nassau to get an over-the-water cabana in Nellie's Beach and to do the Dragon's Breath zip-lining.

    • Cabana - not cheap at all, but I am glad we did it. My wife wasn't too happy with the location of ours as it was close to the beach, but we didn't get off the ship early enough to get our pick. I actually preferred the location, as the stairs didn't let out into deep water as some of the others. Having an attendant to get us drinks was nice. She was nice, but made sure to make it clear right away that she didn't work for Royal Caribbean, and worked for tips. Having shade when we wanted it was nice, as many of us were burnt from the day at Nassau/in the pool. We also had a golf cart driver who would take us where we needed to go (zip-lining, lunch, etc).

I have a question on this section, the attendant does not work for Royal Caribbean and works for tips? After spending the $500+ on the cabana tips are still required is this true?

Have not been to Key West so I cannot comment on that.

Had a co-worker that just went to Havana, he and his wife absolutely loved it.

I have been to Cozumel at least 12 times, I still find something new to do every time I'm there.

You might add some additional detail about yourself and if you are cruising solo, partner, married kids etc.. That way people have more reference behind your question.

Good advice! My husband and I are newly married, we have been on 2 cruises on Oasis and Symphony of the seas and are looking to do as much traveling as we can this year!

We'll be sailing on Anthem too and I've been debating this.  I'm wondering if private hours would be offered for things in the Sea Plex?  That would certainly make this more attractive for us as we don't partake in the rock wall or flow rider.  We're Gold so don't have many benefits an therefore don’t know how nice it might be to have things like priority embarkation, etc.  We already have Voom and Chops lunch booked, so the difference for us b/t the Key and purchasing just Voom and Chops lunch by themselves is $68/person for a 9 night cruise.  As a splurge item, $68/person isn't awful for the other items the Key offers.  What do you think?

That's what I was thinking to however I wanted to make sure private hours were offered at the Sea Plex!

It's also possible this particular sailing is being offered to UK residents booking on the UK website with the drink package bundled in.  That sometimes occurs in the UK.

Checking the UK website it does appear that is the case but only if booked on the UK website.

That’s interesting. But I am guessing because I live in American I can’t take advantage? Would I be able to purchase onboard? This is for my one year wedding anniversary so we want to be able to have fun without worrying!

This will be on a Saturday.   Ship docks 7 a.m.   Sometimes the ship is cleared by customs early and then sometimes not. Also weather and so on and so forth.  We have TSA  pre-check and are carrying our luggage.

I live in Hoboken super close to Bayonne and on a Saturday I think you should be able to get to the airport super quick, within 15 minutes. Do you know how you will be getting to the airport? I suggest taking an Uber or something like that and preordering while you are in the disembarkation line if possible to speed up the wait time. With pre-check you should get through security quickly.
