Most people either round up their beers or tip $1 per mixed drink. Some give a larger amount at the beginning of the night. I get it, the concert tickets can be expensive and then the price of the drinks are ridiculous but honestly we are all there mainly for tips.
Thank you, very helpful. I have not been to labadee or had a cabana so I was not aware.

I say it would depend on how many drinks they serve you.
I was in a cabana in January and tipped the guy $20. I thought it was resonable.
Very helpful thank you. I have never been to Labadee.

Think of it like this - if you go to a show at say PNC Arts Center - just because you paid $$$ for the tickets doesn't mean you shouldn't tip your bartender. The server definitely doesn't see any of the money you've already paid, sadly.
Got it. So what sort of tip would be acceptable?

Labadee. Labadee was beautiful. We spent the extra money that we didn't spend in Nassau to get an over-the-water cabana in Nellie's Beach and to do the Dragon's Breath zip-lining.
- Cabana - not cheap at all, but I am glad we did it. My wife wasn't too happy with the location of ours as it was close to the beach, but we didn't get off the ship early enough to get our pick. I actually preferred the location, as the stairs didn't let out into deep water as some of the others. Having an attendant to get us drinks was nice. She was nice, but made sure to make it clear right away that she didn't work for Royal Caribbean, and worked for tips. Having shade when we wanted it was nice, as many of us were burnt from the day at Nassau/in the pool. We also had a golf cart driver who would take us where we needed to go (zip-lining, lunch, etc).
I have a question on this section, the attendant does not work for Royal Caribbean and works for tips? After spending the $500+ on the cabana tips are still required is this true?

We are doing the Empress of the Seas to Key West, Havana and Cozumel for Memorial Day weekend.
What day does this cruise leave on?

Have not been to Key West so I cannot comment on that.
Had a co-worker that just went to Havana, he and his wife absolutely loved it.
I have been to Cozumel at least 12 times, I still find something new to do every time I'm there.
You might add some additional detail about yourself and if you are cruising solo, partner, married kids etc.. That way people have more reference behind your question.
Good advice! My husband and I are newly married, we have been on 2 cruises on Oasis and Symphony of the seas and are looking to do as much traveling as we can this year!

Looking to cruise around Memorial Day weekend, would you suggest Havana and Key West or Cozumel and Havana?
Open to suggestions, originally we were looking at a land vacation during this time frame but it is crazy expensive!

The hot rocks are available on all Vision, Radiance and most Voyager class of ships (with the exception of Adventure of the Seas) have hot rock and sushi.
Thank you!

We'll be sailing on Anthem too and I've been debating this. I'm wondering if private hours would be offered for things in the Sea Plex? That would certainly make this more attractive for us as we don't partake in the rock wall or flow rider. We're Gold so don't have many benefits an therefore don’t know how nice it might be to have things like priority embarkation, etc. We already have Voom and Chops lunch booked, so the difference for us b/t the Key and purchasing just Voom and Chops lunch by themselves is $68/person for a 9 night cruise. As a splurge item, $68/person isn't awful for the other items the Key offers. What do you think?
That's what I was thinking to however I wanted to make sure private hours were offered at the Sea Plex!

I really want to try this, what ships is it offered on? Is it offered on anthem or explorer?

That’s interesting. But I am guessing because I live in American I can’t take advantage? Would I be able to purchase onboard? This is for my one year wedding anniversary so we want to be able to have fun without worrying!

They had issues with UK cruises turning into booze cruises.
Guests were over indulging and acting badly. As a result they have removed drink packages from some UK sailings, especially the short cruises but some 7 night cruises as well.
That’s a bummer!

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has tried the key on anthem? Or in general? Thoughts on if it is worth it or not. Also any suggestions you have for anthem are welcomed :)

This will be on a Saturday. Ship docks 7 a.m. Sometimes the ship is cleared by customs early and then sometimes not. Also weather and so on and so forth. We have TSA pre-check and are carrying our luggage.
I live in Hoboken super close to Bayonne and on a Saturday I think you should be able to get to the airport super quick, within 15 minutes. Do you know how you will be getting to the airport? I suggest taking an Uber or something like that and preordering while you are in the disembarkation line if possible to speed up the wait time. With pre-check you should get through security quickly.

I loved the food at hooked! The oysters were such a cool thing to finally have on board! Also enjoyed the mussels, lobster, and messy fish sandwich!

I highly suggest the UDP! I have gotten it on Oasis of the Seas and Symphony so far! Book early, it sold out on my Symphony cruise and was not offered on board!

the airport is very close about 15-20 minutes. Is this on a weekday or weekend?
-
What is the difference between the over the water cabana and the regular cabana at Nelles beach? For two people do you suggest the cabana, bungalow, or beach bed?
Thanks!

Just got off a cruise in the med it was truly life changing. I would highly highly suggest it! It was exhausting but I am still in awe of all of the places we traveled to in 9 days!

Just got one on Symphony of the seas this past week with no problem!

I was on Symphony of the seas last October and I can tell you that they had it but we were so exhausted from the ports we did not go!
