  1. Agreed, even with seafood on a short Utopia (a few hours ago) dinner wasn’t crazy. There were a good number of people there but definitely not like breakfast/lunch at peak times.
  2. You don’t want to know how often I checked for ours, lol. Significantly more than once/day. Going by my recent FB groups (and our own GTY in April), they’ve largely all been assigned at once. I’m sure there were exceptions but a ton of people always got theirs on the same exact day.
  3. Comedians weren’t great. Got some time before the ice show. Mason Jar brunch… Deviled eggs (still one of my favorite items) Blueberry johnnycakes with pulled pork (I hadn’t ordered them in a while but I’m pretty sure they made them smaller which I actually liked b/c I’d rather order several smaller items) Peanut butter stuffed French toast (I always loved this, it was just very heavy, but something seemed different this time. Still good but too much chocolate inside or something). My wife decided to try the burger & tater tots but still got the chicken & mashed potatoes she normally does. She liked everything. Biscuits on the side. Gone Bananas (has always been my wife’s fav & they changed it a bit & she liked it even more) Bread pudding (I don’t remember candied walnuts before but they were really good) Cherry pie (had never tried it & it might be the only MJ item I’ve ever thought was awful. very weird filling, not like normal gooey cherry pie filling, almost like a thick gelatin.) My wife has always ordered savory stuff; we just stuck with brunch (except for the one dinner last cruise) b/c I liked the French toast so much & usually ordered the chicken n waffles. After this meal, I think we’re gonna cancel brunch for July & switch to dinner. With a D+ BOGO, dinner will only be a little more than 40% off brunch, we can order the same exact stuff except I’ll swap the French toast for the ribs I loved in April, & we’d rather have a big meal for dinner than lunch. My wife didn’t even really eat dinner tonight b/c she was full from brunch & was never going near seafood or Indian food anyway. Not loving the French toast anymore should work out for the best. I’m already looking forward to the ribs, lol.
  4. Tried the MJ peach tea with just peach schnapps & I’m sticking with that version from now on. It tastes like regular peach tea just like Moonlights taste like regular blackberry lemonade. Obviously it’s a weak drink but it’s tasty & refreshing. If I want something strong I’ll order something else. Just sharing before shows start. Still way behind on food pics. Indian night + seafood on the last night in WJ was very good. I wish the seafood was on a different night since I like the Indian food so much but can’t have everything.
  5. Will catch up on MJ & other stuff later or tomorrow. Dinner, adult comedy, ice show, and Schooner Bar are tonight’s plans. Turnaround day tomorrow.
  6. Monkey Business from Pesky Parrot. I like it but @JohnK6404 was right; oddly lacking in banana.
  7. Yes, I’m thinking day one. They always have plain, pepperoni, and veggie… then one more. So many black olives on the veggie & those are on the extremely short list of things I don’t like. Had some combo last night & today is carnivore (meat lovers). The other unique one was the Caribbean one that’s pineapple & something.
  8. Great brunch as usual but some items seemed slightly different (most better, one not quite as good). Pics later & I think we’re going to switch brunch to dinner for next month.
  9. Currently waiting for our food at Mason Jar brunch. They were crazy crowded & backed up when we got here at noon for our noon reservation so we’re eating later but no big deal, just giving me time to get hungrier. Never really seen any specialty restaurant that backed up before. We plan to go to Love & Marriage at 2pm so MJ food pics later.
  10. I bring stuff back on plates & some goes in ziplocs if it’s not messy like cookies or muffins or plain croissants. Park Cafe on Wonder had their grab n go wraps/sandwiches in snap shut plastic to-go containers so I started saving those to re-use. Utopia uses bags for that stuff though so I brought one disposable plastic container that I want to say came from Chinese takeout & we washed & saved it for some reason. It was sitting in a cabinet so I grabbed it. Those are better for stuff with icing like donuts so the icing/topping/whatever doesn’t get all over the ziploc. We wind up with a few empty plates on the counter/dresser until our cabin attendant cleans in the morning but that’s not a big deal. Half the time I grab a plate of Sorrento’s on the way back before bed anyway.
  11. I’m not even sure what that is (I only get to eat Indian food on cruises & I’m only familiar with a few dishes/items) but I’ll check signs tonight.
  12. Skulk, lol? My wife and I are usually together but not sure my solo food/drink runs count as “skulking about.” Apparently I should have gotten her a donut too, she’s a sucker for chocolate sprinkles, I just always have croissants on my mind for her.
  13. Found the sprinkles in the WJ kids section. Grabbed a couple croissants for my wife. Never seen these before.
  14. Couldn’t help myself, hadn’t had the toasted fruit bread I really like yet, then found mango pineapple avacado smoothies in WJ. I know it’s good for you but I’ll save avacado for my guac, thanks. Server came around with “watermelon juice” that was really good though.
  15. Back in the Solarium with the hippos. Still comfortable temp-wise. Checked out Bistro at 8am, virtually empty. Really wanted a salmon omelet but want to be hungry for MJ brunch more. Nothing too exciting in there. The sprinkles must all be at Sprinkles. Never got the pic from my wife but the Sprinkles on Utopia actually has shakers of sprinkles to put on your ice cream cones. She had one last night. She just went to walk. Since I’m not really having breakfast I might go see what WJ and/or Park Cafe have to put in the cabin for later, might eat a little something too of course. If nothing else, it’s exercise.
  16. Not too surprising for Royal.
  17. Yeah, kinda funny how suddenly so many people are awake early if they have to be… otherwise it’s nice & quiet.
  18. Not much else to share about last night. Had some Sorrento’s while waiting for The Quest, watched about half of it from the back until my wife was fading and went to the cabin. Need to replenish my cabin snacks. Been having a croissant or donut after pizza & I’m out. Sorrento’s was good (for what it is) last night, crispy & not greasy. It was always like that on Wonder but not so much here the 1st two nights. The lines were the longest I’ve ever seen before last night so that might be part of it. They were trying to get as much out as they could with 50 people waiting. Still need to try some other Cafe Promenade sandwiches or wraps but with no tuna & the couple I tried not being good, I kept going back to pizza. Think my wife slept so-so & is trying to sleep later instead of going for early morning walks. I woke up a few times but mostly slept until 6am which is good for me. Trying to gather motivation to go get coffee. With MJ brunch at noon, I don’t plan to eat much this morning (more salmon omelets after today if I don’t get one). We’ll probably chill in the Solarium this morning, then brunch, Love & Marriage at 2pm, then adult comedy & ice show tonight. Looking forward to seafood in WJ tonight too, plus Indian night, although that’s kinda what I had last night. I get neither at home so bring it on. Off to the CL shortly. The concierge, Jen, is super nice btw. Aside from helping with the internet issue we chatted for a while last night. CL is also freezing if anyone ever needs to cool off on Utopia & has access.
  19. Made it to late on day 3 before hearing @asquared17’s favorite song. The DJ in Studio B is playing it over an EDM type beat of all things.
  20. Name That Tune was entertaining for what it was… a silly game show that happens to involve the singers & dancers from All In.
  21. There was a YET in there. I do take breaks in between snacks & meals ya know. Back to my pizza while waiting for The Quest now.
  22. Could be. We were just killing time b/c we weren’t hungry for dinner yet. I didn’t pay close attention, sorry.
  23. Non-Caribbean food on Caribbean night in WJ (I tried some stuff but it wasn’t great except for the fried plantains). Chicken Korma & grilled shrimp (then I went back for more grilled shrimp since I barely eat seafood at home)…
