  1. If that is the theater that Rock of Ages is being shown in, then I agree. Boring! Even if it's not, it's still a rather uninspired room for whatever it's for.
  2. I found it amusing that Royal Caribbean in their press release said they are still the only cruise line with Tony award winning shows. Did some research and it turns out Norwegian's ship that has Legally Blonde was nominated but never won. Very subtle marketing by Royal
  3. I'm surprised because rumor mill was pointing to Wicked or Jersey Boys the entire time. Good show, especially for families.
  4. Yes, Royal Caribbean considers champagne to be "wine", so I believe it is included.
  5. I did look at that as an option. For the three of us, I think sedan/limo service is actually cheaper or same price so we may go that way.

  7. Maybe your cruise left earlier than mine does because we leave on a Sunday and the Enterprise in Galveston isn't open on Sundays and they are the only rental car company on the whole island :o
  8. Taking my first cruise out of Galveston and after booking the cruise, I realized transportation options in Galveston leave much to be desired. So for those that have cruised out of Galveston.... Can you recommend transportation options from IAH to Galveston? Can you recommend a hotel in Galveston or near the port? Anything else I need to know about this port? Thanks in advance
  9. And you were able to pay off your cruise over time whereas someone booking the cruise now would pay it all up front. I just booked a cruise for February 2014 on Navigator of the Seas and there's no question the downside to booking this close to the cruise is I put a deposit down yesterday and in 2 days I have to make final payment. Poor credit card!
  10. Just booked my next cruise on Navigator of the Seas in February 2014! 11. Oh right, I did not pay attention to where he/she is from
  12. Such a good deal there. Wish I still lived in Florida
  13. As expected, Anthem of the Seas will be in Southampton. Not many more details at all revealed but RC did indicate we'd be getting a lot more info come 2014.
  14. Don't worry about luggage tags, you can get them from the porter when you drop off the luggage. I'd have your setsail pass printed. You can always go to a Kinkos or Staples or Office Depot and print from there. It will cost like $3 but well worth it.
  15. I don't think you're wrong by any means, just a matter of what makes you feel safe/good. If anything, I find it interesting to hear other people's opinions. I use my safe and I do bring cash with me and I'll store most of it in the safe. I understand the risks but I trust the staff more than my ability to not lose things.
  16. Really? I always use my safe for storing jewelry, passports and my wallet (since I don't really need it during the cruise). I find cash to be a necessity for off-ship activities. Tips, taxi fare, restaurants and other destinations usually do not take credit cards. Granted, if you do only RC excursions than your need for cash may be significantly less.
  17. Awesome! Good to hear something about her and I suspect Royal Caribbean will be announcing she will be homeported in UK come this Thursday
  18. I prefer to bring as much cash as I can so I don't have to get more from ATMs. It also helps control my spending to some extent. Since Royal Caribbean ships are cashless (minus the casino), I use the cash for shore excursions as well as tips here and there.
  19. I haven't seen Chicago on Allure but you might consider renting the movie and watch without the kids. If you feel the movie is appropriate, the stage show on Allure shouldn't be any worse.
  20. Yes it will: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2013/08/07/quantum-of-the-seas-frequently-asked-questions-reveals-more-details
  21. It's official: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2013/11/15/royal-caribbean-officially-launches-new-unlimited-alcohol-packages I have to give kudos to Royal Caribbean for not only rolling out more packages but adding extra benefits to the old packages and keeping the price point. Well done
  22. Going to go in for repairs in February and had to cancel one cruise http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2013/11/14/royal-caribbean-announces-repairs-allure-of-the-seas-2014
