Royal Caribbean UK teased the public with the "announcement" of its new airplane, Master of the Skies.

Posted across the UK social media channels, the cruise line touted the mock-launch of its first aircraft in 2022, which includes features as such as:

  • "Slide in the Sky"
  • Bionic Bar
  • Ultimate Family Suite
  • Ripcord by iFly skydiving simulator

Ben Bouldin, Managing Director Royal Caribbean International UK & Ireland, said: “We believe that every step of our guests’ holiday should be extraordinary and when the sky’s the limit, launching an aircraft was the natural next step! Some of our well-known and much-loved favourites have been ingeniously integrated, including the world’s first slide in the sky, and we look forward to the latest addition to our fleet taking to the skies in 2022.”

Royal Caribbean UK celebrates April Fools Day with world's first ski resort at sea!

Royal Caribbean UK has gotten into the April Fools mood with their "announcement" of the world's first ski resort at sea, Piste of the Seas.

The Oasis Class ship will debut in 2012 that bridges the gap between anyone torn between a ski or cruise break.  The ship features five real snow runs, a lift and après-ski restaurants, bars and spa.

  • The family sized chalet-style rooms on Piste of the Seas feature wood panelling.
  • The ski lift will take guests up to the top of Mount Mast, allowing for wonderful views of the ocean before skiing down.
  • The Alpine Spa will offer Nordic deep-tissue massages.
  • Enjoy a few drinks after your skiing day at the Après Sail Bar.

If you are wondering, "Piste" is a French word that means, "a ski run of compacted snow."

Last year, Royal Caribbean UK lampooned the internet with its April Fools joke of announcing space cruises.

Royal Caribbean UK promising space cruises in 2030

April Fools is in full swing, as Royal Caribbean UK "announced" today that it is building a spaceship called "Orbiter of the Galaxy."

The spaceship will offer space cruises by 2030 and even offer high speed Voom internet while in orbit.

Royal Caribbean went on to say that construction of Orbiter of the Galaxies is well under way. Cruisers can expect all the usual features, with a space-age twist.

This "news" adds to the April Fools festivities, with Royal Caribbean earlier announcing it will team up with a man who tried to name another ship, "Boaty McBoatface" to name a new Royal Caribbean ship.
