Scott M
Have a group of 7, with ages ranging from 7 to 60 that want to do an excursion that includes snorkeling, boat, and some beach time. Several listed on RC site, which one is best bang for the buck? Thanks! Scott
rjac
We have done the "Secret Sands Beach Getaway" a couple of times, but, no boat involved. Wonderful very clean beach and bathroom/bath house. Very clean calm water and a really nice reef/grass covered sand bar about 50' offshore that is less than 10' deep. Los of tropical fish and some small sea turtles munching on the sea grass. This last trip (April) I taught my grand kids (ages 8 & 12) how to snorkel. They had no problem swimming out to the reef and enjoyed the marine life. On the beach there is a young man (Akeem) who sets up the lounge chairs, provides beer, soda, rum punch, snacks and snorkel gear for you. All he asks for is a tip before you leave. If you want a group photo, he will gladly do that for you also using your camera/smart phone. The trip back to the ship will stop for some photo ops and local jewelry purchasing (if you're interested). It's about a 31/2 hour trip that we enjoyed and will do it again on our next trip to St. Thomas. hooked-on-cruising
