jim620
Sailing on Brilliance for Alaskan Cruise and was wondering if I get the internet package including streaming for 1 person will I be able to use the tethering function on my phone and allow other users to connect to the internet? Also when in port will we be able to connect to our cell provider (T-Mobile) while onboard the ship or will the our cell phone still try and connect to the ships roaming signal. Thanks. Thanks. The ship's cell tower is only active when in international waters (12 miles off shore). While in port, you will use land-based cell towers. That may or may not have a cost depending on where you are and what coverage your provider/plan allows.
Villageidiot
I don't believe you can tether when connected to wifi. I have used a travel router and then connected multiple devices to it. (disclaimer I have not done this since the restart YMMV)
twangster
Try it at home on your home wifi. Can you do it while in airplane mode? Villageidiot
