We knew we wanted an itinerary that originated in NOLA, and here we are! Sail away down the Mississippi is an awesome experience. Who else is joining us? Cheers! Our previous 2 cruises were with Carnival on our honeymoon (2013) and a family cruise (2014). This is also our first family vacation as a family of 5 (6 year old, 4 year old, and a 1 year old), so we're hoping that it goes well and everyone has fun. We just booked it last week on a whim during the kids sail free promotion. We're thinking we'll keep it a secret from the kids and not tell them until we are literally pulling into the port and they see the ship.
