This was the first of 3 cruises that hubby and I booked while on our last one. We knew we wanted an itinerary that originated in NOLA, and here we are! Sail away down the Mississippi is an awesome experience.

We'll be joining you as well. This will be our first ever Royal cruise. Our previous 2 cruises were with Carnival on our honeymoon (2013) and a family cruise (2014). This is also our first family vacation as a family of 5 (6 year old, 4 year old, and a 1 year old), so we're hoping that it goes well and everyone has fun. We just booked it last week on a whim during the kids sail free promotion. We're thinking we'll keep it a secret from the kids and not tell them until we are literally pulling into the port and they see the ship.

Only 45 more days until we set sail!! This is our 1st time on a smaller, older ship. We're hoping for an enjoyable experience and a smooth sail. First time for us in NOLA as well - so we are flying in a few days early to enjoy that famous city. Packing for summer and fall will be different

This is our first cruise for my daughter and I.  We are very excited!  Anyone have any tips for us since this is our first cruise?
