Dione Thomson
Does anyone know if they require you to wear life jackets while snorkeling? We are hoping to be able to swim a little bit down closer to the coral.
BMW Hoosier
My guess is yes. When I snorkeled in St. Croix it was not an option.
Ryan79
It’s pretty much a standard requirement for any RC snorkeling excursion. I have yet to find an exception
WAAAYTOOO
We recently did a Royal snorkeling excursion at Bonaire and the safety briefing said that safety vests were mandatory. HOWEVER, they weren't, really. There were a number of peeps who just ignored them and snorkeled without them. I am a good, strong swimmer, but I actually was glad I had put on the vest and slightly inflated it. So....I think YMMV. Some snorkeling organizers may strongly enforce the vest thing and some may not....
Thrilla
I’m sure it depends on the operator, but we did a snorkeling excursion in St Maarten and the life jackets were blown up by a little tube by mouth. You could easily let out the air to swim down, and then re-inflate to swim around the top. WAAAYTOOO
