lilcygnet
Hi! I am new to this board. Thank you for admitting us! :) We are thinking of booking Ovation in January 2018 departing from Sydney but RCCL has a disclaimer on its website that the Suites programme on Ovation only runs until January 2017. Any idea if this information is just because it then enters its China season and will be reinstated for the Australia sailings end 2017 which will be updated later or if the programme is permanently off the ship from Jan 2017? Thanks!
DocLC
Great question and one that I don't have an answer for, but I hope others do. Is it possible that the suite program is intended for North American sailings only?
Matt
I'll bet it has to do with the China season. RC changes a lot when its ships go to China for a variety of reasons.
Todd
I know at this time Royal is not offering the Royal Suite Class Benefits for sailings that originate in China. This may change in the future but it seems to be the direction they are taking. Since your cruise starts in Australia maybe it could and will be offered as the AU market is different than the China market.
lilcygnet
I guess with the amount of money we are paying for a suite, I would rather it have the benefits than not LOL. We were wondering whether to try it on an Australian cruise but have now decided not to take the risk. Will probably head to the Caribbean instead! EmersonNZ
I just went through the booking process for a Ovation cruise in late Jan 2018 and under its suites category it still had the usual benefits. I thin they would find it hard to include them at point of sale (and make a big deal on the benefits) and then take them away. I also booked a suite on Voyager for 2018 (actually new years 17/18 cruise) out of Sydney and again no mention of a change etc. Personally I would give RC a ring to double check if it was a real concern as it seems pretty strange.
