Big Tule Posted November 2, 2019 Author Report Share Posted November 2, 2019 It is the fifth attack in the area since last September ..These young men are very lucky to be alive despite their injuries as there was a paramedic and nurse on board at the time(both fellow tourists) they applied tourniquets and stopped the bleeding before they reached shore,there are also saltwater crocodile in the water at Airlie ....I for one would not snorkel there but as an Aussie who used to surf I guess I am more aware of danger spots.
