karl_nj
Do I need water shoes in the Columbus Cove area of Labadee? We are renting a bungalow, so I figure we will mostly stay in that area. Matt and others have recommended water shoes for Labadee in general, but i'm not sure if that is only for the other side of the island, or a good idea in general. Any tips on getting over to Columbus Cove? Is there some sort of ferry? Should we just walk? A few years ago at coco cay they brought us over to the bungalow's via a tram. We don't mind a walk though, at Castaway Cay we tend to walk and skip the tram, even when we have a Cabana.
melski94
No need for shoes at Columbus Cove. It's a nice sandy bottom. There is a ferry sometimes. We've only managed to catch it once. It isn't a long walk but if you do walk cut through by Nellie's beach and by the waters slide/aqua park area. Also, there is a tram (for all not just the bungalows) but you need to walk through the market to get to the beach. That isn't a big deal but just be prepared. karl_nj
