spursfreak21
Has anyone had an experience with the Tulum Ruins/Beach Break excursion (booked through RC)? How is the trip to the mainland and then to the ruins? Where is the beach located? How is the food and drink at the beach break portion of the trip? Thanks in advance. OrlandoC
I did this in October. It was about an hour bus ride from the ferry to the ruins. It didn't feel that long because the guide did a great job talking to us about the trip, life in Mexico, and his family. The beach is about halfway between the ruins and the ferry. It was OK. The food was fine (included +1 free soda or beer) and there was plenty of it. Also got a margarita for $5. My only complaint about the whole thing was how little time you got at Tulum. You basically get in, walk through it once, and then back to the bus. I would have preferred dedicated Tulum only trip. Note that there is also a lot of walking at Tulum and some climbing if that is an issue for you.
