  1. Hello Everyone, I have recently been looking into the various Credit Card / OBC / Stocks / Casino Rewards (other?) options offered by Royal / Celebrity. What is the most useful option or combination of programs to earn discounts/ credits / and the illusive 'Free Cruise'? May your ship lead you to warm sands, TwoCanSailAway
  2. Hi Everyone, I tried searching back boards, but did not find anything, so my apologies if this has been covered before (I bet it has!). I have roughly 100,000 RC credit card points that I have been saving for a long time. I need to use them before some start to expire soon. Anyway, does anyone have any good tricks for getting the most bang for your buck? For example, the cruise for 2 says it will cover an outside view room.. can we use that value towards a balcony or even a suite on the same sailing? Or should we stick to onboard credits, knowing we usually don't spend too much money on excursions or drinks. Thanks in advance! Mel
  3. We will be taking our first cruise with RCCL (reformed Disney cruisers) for Alaska South Bound (July 2019) in a Grand Suite. I understand that after the first cruise with RCCL, cruisers are automatically enrolled in Chrown & Anchor. My question is: will the double points (Grand Suite) from that first cruise be the first points applied to our Crown & Anchor accounts or will the points start to accrue AFTER our next cruise in December 2019? Many Thanks, BakedAlaska2019 Rolla, MO
  4. Hi Everyone! This is my 1st post, and will be my 1st RCCL cruise in March, 2018. We opened a Royal Caribbean credit card to accumulate points and we have enough to redeem for onboard credit as well as some left over- it's 5,000 points for 2 RCCL robes to be delivered to our stateroom -- this would equate to about $50. Being that each robe is $75 on the website, I thought this was a steal! Question is, do we get to keep the robes? Or are they just to be used for the duration of the cruise? I wouldn't want to spend $50 worth of credit just to use for the cruise and then get charged another charge if we take them home. Thoughts? Experiences?
  5. Hi Everyone, I have the Royal Caribbean credit card issued from Bank of America. Has anyone tried to redeem points from their card for use as on board credit? I did this, but it hasn't shown up in the cruise planner on my active reservation. I contacted Royal Caribbean and they said it doesn't show up until about 2 weeks before the sail date. I was hoping to use the on board credit to purchase items through the cruise planner, but I've ended up paying separately for some items like the beverage package when it went on sale and didn't want to miss out on the sale price. It seems like the points really are only intended to be used once you are on board and not beforehand. I was hoping someone else has tried this and could share their experience. Cheers!
  6. I'm sailing on the Oasis for the first time. Does anyone know if RC has any type of complimentary drinks after so many points? When I've been on Carnival once you get 1500 points you get free drinks while you're in the Casino. Thanks, Jill
