  1. @chill6x6 Fantastic news! If there are no mobility issues, I will always choose CLS over OS. Three main reasons: the WOW factor of the lofts (which no other room can match these), the quietness on Deck 17 and the large hallways, and the proximity to CK/SL.
  2. When will cruising start again? ??? kidding ?
  3. Actually I someone told me before that when they sailed Star on Oasis, they got sick (motion) and their genie found out and she went out of her way to help her feel better, ginger, apples, meds, all sorts of remedies lol. So it’s not too far fetched to call the genie ? So exciting for trying Star. It is wonderful. And the lofts at the back of Anthem have fantastic views.
  4. As @twangster always says, and he can word it better than me, but motion varies depending on so many factors that it is hard to predict based on someone else's experience. That being said, my daughter and I are both really sensitive to motion. We sailed Anthem out of Bayonne twice. Once was in March, the other time in July. Both times we had a JS that was mid ship. There was considerably more motion in March than there was in July. March sailing we had to take our meds for motion. July we did not. I also feel like Anthem is not as steady as Oasis class. But I do not know enough about the way ships are built to back that up lol.
  5. If you look at Deck 17 plans, I usually like to pick more towards the center. Reason being that from Deck 16, if you look up, you can still see a few of the balconies that are closer (first 3 or so) to the suite lounge/CK end of Deck 17.
  6. I did it a few years ago in March. Here is my blog on it. Lots of thoughts... https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/5780-anthem-of-the-seas-march-9-17-2018/
  7. Yup! ^^^This^^^. #teamCK. And the suite lounge on Deck 17.
  8. Yes. The policy at the moment is still the end of April 2022. That is also why I have stopped taking the FCC option. My cancelled August sailing is the last one that I took and after that I started asking for refunds. Having lost 4 sailings already, I have so many FCCs that at first I thought I would have no trouble using them up (since we have a bunch booked next year too) but now with no start date in sight, I am starting to worry. If they extend the date, I might start taking FCCs again, but otherwise refunds for now.
  9. It will be easy. The gong show is in the WJ on embarkation day. ?
  10. Are you in a suite? If you are, when the suite concierge reaches out to you a week to do before sailing, you can have them make reservations for you. Honestly though, on a regular sailing, most open venues are not busy at all. You could probably just walk right in for lunch without a reservation. Especially with Playmakers and Port Side.
  11. You cannot. I believe the above posts are all referring to the 125% OBC cruise planner refunds from the cancelled sailings, not to be confused with the 125% FCC from the cancelled sailings.
  12. Maybe, maybe not. I can tell you that from the cruises that I have been on, most specialty dining is pretty empty on embarkation day. There are some die hard WJ (not me! lol) fans out there and I feel like embarkation is so busy that most people don't want to sit down for a meal. Also, some may not have even checked in yet at that point (that's not me either lol).
  13. Yes. But not specialty is open on embarkation day. Check a recent cruise compass and it will give you an idea of what options you have. It's usually Chops or Giovanni's, Port Side & Playmakers. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass
  14. Personally, I would look at the Deck 11 above and see what you do not want to be underneath. Some of the GS cabins are closer to the pool than others and you might hear some noise from pool chairs etc. Although some have also said there is little to no noise from above, I personally don't like to take the chance. I always look at the decks above and below to see what is there. Also, I would avoid the connecting ones, unless you have both the cabins, connecting cabins with a stranger is always best to avoid lol. Lastly, I think that there is one on the hump. Some people love hump balconies for the view, but also consider that others might be able to see you as well from that position.
  15. As long as you are prepared that it might get tied up, you can't go wrong purchasing now for sure. Or the other plan could be that as it gets closer to March, if sailings don't look like they will happen, you cancel it first. Refunds seem to come back faster that way.
  16. @WannaCruise I think only you can decide this one. Buy it now if it doesn’t bother you to have the money held up. If it does, let it go. There’s always going to be another sale before March and also possibly Black Friday.
  17. Or you could dive into depression like us and do crazy things...like build a pool, hot tub, and cabana right in your backyard. No cruise, no problem! Now I just need a Genie, oh wait, that's me, I'm the home Genie lol.
  18. I just posted the same time that you posted about getting the switch for $1600 less! That is awesome! For that difference, it’s not worth it. You are right, you can get VOOM, UDP, and Drink package!
  19. @bossdog421 I know the misery. I have now lost 2 star class sailings to Covid with probably more on the way. Let me know if you have luck with the Hail Mary. I might need one for December. ??
  20. Sky class for the 2 Bedroom GS. But you do get VOOM included whereas on Liberty you don’t. But on Liberty you would get the hot tub. Is that and the bigger ship worth the move to Miami? Only you can decide that. ?
  21. Yes! Definitely look into it. I know someone who recently just shifted a RS on Indy or Freedom (I cannot remember but basically no star class) and they got the RLS on Oasis! Winner winner right there!
