When a cruise ship stays over night in a port, how does that work? Does everyone have to be back on board at a certain time at night and free to get off again the next morning?

My first trip is on the Oasis of the Seas in three weeks to Eastern Caribbean for 7 days. I'll come back and give a full report. I'll be taking notes and recordings so I don't forget anything.

Never saw this type of game before but I would be tempted to try it if it is on my ship.

Where are you sailing to and which ship? I'm down to 36 days on the Oasis to Eastern Caribbean (first cruise ever).

This is my first cruise and I'll be on the Oasis of the Seas in Nov. I have My Time Dining set for 8:30 pm everynight but I'm confused. Is the MDR also serving breakfast, lunch and dinner or can we only have dinner there?

My cruise (Eastern Caribbean, 7 days) will visit the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maartin on November 2. Never been to either and have not ever been on a cruise before. Oasis of the Seas is the ship.

Hello everyone. My name is Gloria and I'll be taking my very first cruise in November. I live in Atlanta, GA and going on Eastern Caribbean 7 day Oasis of the Seas cruise out of Ft Lauderdale, FL. I am so excited that I am ready to start packing even though I still have a couple of months.

Thanks folks for the info. I have a Nikon that takes much better photos but a quick shot with a cell phone or a point and shoot camera always comes in handy.

I don't want extra charges on my cell phone from calls or texts while traveling to the Eastern Caribbean 7 day cruise in Nov 2013. My brother indicated that I could put the setting on Airplane Mode therefore I would not have extra charges from usage and I could still use the cell to take pictures with the camera. Is there any truth in that suggestion?
