  1. We booked a balcony for both our cruises this year on Liberty and Oasis. I was wondering if anybody here has had the chance to upgrade their room when they first board. If so, are the rates worth the potential upgrade?
  2. We have this booked, but I'm having second thoughts about it. It would be awesome to see the ruins, but Matt is right, there's a lot of travelling back and forth and it seems like it would consume the whole day. I'm leaning (and convincing my wife) to do the Xplor Park instead. Only an hour away from the port opposed to the almost 4 hour drive to Yucatan. Not to mention you get ziplines, amphibious vehicle rides, underground caverns to paddle a boat around, plus food. Last time I checked it was 199 PP in the RCL website, but saw one on XPlor's main website for half the price (you just need to find a way to get there) Hope everything works out for you and hope you find something great!
  3. DocLC, Thanks for the response. Your explanation definitely gave me some clarity. What part of San Diego are you from if you don't mind me asking? I used to be from National City, and I was just there in San Diego a few weeks ago for the holidays.
  4. Hello everyone! I have a few questions about the Crown and Anchor Society. 1) Do you receive your points when you book a cruise, or is it applied after the cruise ends? 2) Outside of the perks described in the RCL page, are there any hidden perks that some of you received by being a member? 3) What are the discount rates on some of the staterooms and/or different packages in the cruise? 4) Lastly, I read up the Celebrity Cruise Lines is the sister company, are the points transferable or can you acquire points by sailing with them too? Sorry it's a lot of questions. Thank you in advance for all your responses.
  5. Hello everyone! Greetings from Dallas, TX! My wife and I are brand new to the world of cruising and we're definitely excited for our first cruise. We have two cruises planned this year. Our very first one in April and we're boarding Liberty of the Seas and heading to a bigger ship in December when we go on the Oasis. We're huge fans of the podcast, and listening to it makes me feel like I'm already a cruise expert. I am too excited to try Sabor and drink a Labadoozee (sp?) because of all the positive things I hear about them. Can't wait to hear some tips from you seasoned cruisers and I'm looking forward to possibly cruise with a few of you someday.
