  1. I need Opinions about Air2Sea i am going on a Transpacific cruise from Sydney to Hawaii and thinking about using Air2Sea and i have read so many Bad reviews ,  Has any one had any Good with this program ?   what are the Benefits does Royal step in if there is a problem ?

if this a Problem company you would think Royal would step in and fix it ?
I like the aspect that it is part of Royal but maybe i am wrong ,
Should i use them or Not  ???????
  2. I am looking for help to decide for the best area for a Beach bed for just my wife and I ,  has anyone stayed at all 3 locations South Beach , Breezy and chill , what would you choose for calm waters and just a peaceful relaxing day next to food and Bar ?

i am leaning towards South Beach but i am second guessing my self

    Thanks in advance

Hi, sorry but I never sailed it. We did have it booked during Covid but have not rebooked yet. If you haven’t sailed Ovation it is a good ship. The shows are okay but there are no broadway shows. We haven’t sailed any other cruise line but if we did Celebrity would be our choice.

Hello yes we sailed ovation in 2020 right before covid shut down , yes i enjoyed her , but this time we want to do Tahiti so we are making sure we do our research, as we are flying from Miami and that is a long flight , so i want to make the best choice for the Tahiti cruise

My understanding is that each Diamond member will get the following for the sailing:

    1 bottle of “welcome water

    1 bottle of “Diamond water”

So that’s two bottles of water total for the sailing.

so, My  wife and I are each Diamond, and we would get 4 total bottles of water for the sailing.

Are they Bottle or cans ?

We stayed at the Hotel Continental and enjoyed it.  Right on the Rambla, an easy cab ride anywhere in the city (my recollection is it was about $12 to the Gaudi cathedral area) with nice rooms and a complimentary 24-hour of "heavy snacks" (salads, cold chicken legs, cured meats and cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal or cereal, toast and jam, etc. depending on the time of day) and drinks (coffee, tea, juices, soda, still and sparkling water, and a local beer on tap) with which we were able to make quite decent meals.

It was comfortable, clean and they have a tiny sitting area overlooking the Rambla which - if you can get the space - is a wonderful place to sit with a glass of beer and watch Barcelona stroll by.  It was also quite cost-effective, especially with food included.

forgive me there 2 Hotels  CONTINENTAL PALACETE and HOTEL CONTINENTAL Barcelona, what one are you referring ?

  8. Can anyone recommend explorer of the seas or voyager of the seas i am planning a Mediterranean cruise oct 2024 and i have never sailed on anything but oasis & Quantum class ships,  But my wife wants to cruise to Greece, Italy and Spain all on the same trip and those are the only to ships that do all 3 , but i am very hesitant about the older ships .

    all feedback welcome

MEI doesn't as a practice do rebating, but there is often OBC or a gift that we give. It's nothing automatic like the rebating agencies do, but we have the service that most of them do not.

maybe that is what i am referring to is the rebate obc i get $300 to $400 obc when i use certain  companies and my wife loves that and depends on that obc yes i have to keep a eye on prices if drops happen, my self and call them for reprice,   But i have no life and is on my Laptop Daily so that is the trade off and for me it is worth it.

The 48 hours thing I don't understand, but that's not what the Best Price Guarantee exactly was- that was after final payment you'd get OBC. That is gone. Price drops still happen all the time, though as the price of cruising gets higher the drops are less and less, but they happen a lot.

what is the 48 Hour ?  Can you reprice new cruises or not if price drops after the 48 hours i do not understand that also ?

Right, but if you book now and a great deal comes out later it can be repriced. You don't lose anything by booking earlier.

yes correct on price you can reprice absolutely , but a couple years ago RCCl gave you OBC on Black Friday that is only good for new bookings that is the perk i am referring to , also some travel agencies give you OBC also if you give them the booking after the fact .  MEI does not give offer OBC i was told by one of there agents

Black Friday will have good deals, but it is not the end all be all. I don't understand why that is the threshold for buying things on CP.

Many decades ago, I worked retail, I can 100% say that 9/10 a sale in Oct will be better than any Black Friday sale. October is a slow retail month; they will mark things down and then they jack them up in Nov so that the sale will look amazing. Often the Black Friday sale price is the same or 10% higher than the sale price in October.

i guess i am just one of those people who like to be sure , and if the price go up i will not book and it was not meant to be !   i will not loose sleep over it , but if i book now and there is a great deal or perk i will be mad !

If there is something you want and if you knew the price would never go down and would thus get it at the current price, then you should get it.  If prices go down on any of it for Black Friday you can just cancel and rebook.  If they don't go down or even go up, you at least have it booked at a price that is acceptable to you.

My Dilemma is that the deposits are not refundable so canceling and rebooking is not an option , and the other thing some time on black Friday they offer OBC and perks but they are only for new bookings not repricing .
