That's a good time because there will be other kids on the ship. (More than usual.)

I'm very excited for @Matt to take his first cruise on Celebrity! I think he's going to love it. But perhaps the kids less so? Although I think they'll still find their niche while on board. The Edge class ships really are beautiful ships. Let's post some tips for Matt here!

Ovation of the Seas Cruise Review: Hawaii to Vancouver

No one noticed that these are wrong. No way is Chorus Line being performed on Ovation. And a tribute show is possible, but I see no indication that Ovation is performing this show. Bard just made these up! -
Ovation of the Seas Cruise Review: Hawaii to Vancouver

I'll add those in a couple of months. -
I asked Bard, Google’s new answer to ChatGPT, to write a blog post about my upcoming cruise on Ovation OT Seas. Here it is. I recently had the pleasure of taking a cruise on Ovation of the Seas from Hawaii to Vancouver. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. The ship itself is absolutely stunning. It's one of the largest cruise ships in the world, and it's packed with amenities and activities. There's something for everyone on board, whether you're looking to relax by the pool, explore the onboard shops, or take part in one of the many activities. I especially enjoyed the ship's two theater shows. The first show, "The Music of the Night," is a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals. The second show, "A Chorus Line," is a classic musical that tells the story of a group of dancers auditioning for a Broadway show. Both shows are incredibly well-produced and feature talented cast members. I also enjoyed the ship's many restaurants. There's everything from casual buffets to fine dining restaurants on board. I especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant, Jamie's Italian. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The cruise itself was a great experience. We stopped at several ports in Hawaii, including Honolulu, Maui, and Kauai. Each port was beautiful, and there was plenty to do and see. I especially enjoyed hiking in the rainforest on Kauai. The cruise ended in Vancouver, and I was sad to see it go. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. Here are some tips for planning your own cruise: Book your cruise well in advance, especially if you're traveling during peak season. Choose a cruise line and itinerary that fits your interests and budget. Pack light clothing, as you'll be spending most of your time in the sun. Don't forget to pack your sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Enjoy your cruise!

You need to take a self-administered antigen test (or better, you won't be thrown off for a PCR or proctored antigen test) and take a picture of it and present that, along with your vaccination card, at check-in. It's an honor system that your test is current. As for WHY, I can't tell you other than it's part of the crossing from Australia. At this point, I just go with the flow.

Vax and Testing requirements for Hawai’i to Vancouver
BrianAlt replied to TylerB's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Yes, that's the requirement. Rapid Antigen Test or better and a pic is fine. -
Surprisingly, I didn't look for this board until now. I'll be on board with my wife, 2 adult children and their significant others, my MiL and her husband, my wife's sister, her husband, and their two children (one in college, one in high school). That's 12 of us, 6 cabins. It's surprising we still can't book any dining for this cruise. Royal, take my money! PLEASE!

Vax and Testing requirements for Hawai’i to Vancouver
BrianAlt replied to TylerB's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I'm on the cruise from Hawaii to Vancouver in May. It's put some into a tizzy, especially those that are unvaxxed. They had till yesterday to cancel after the rules were changed. I think it mostly has to do with the fact that the cruise came from Australia. There are many passengers doing the B2B, Australia --> Hawaii --> Vancouver. Damn, I wish I was!!! Oh well, another time. I think they don't want to differentiate between those that ended in Hawaii vs those that just got on there. That's the only reason I can think of. So, will Vancouver --> Hawaii be affected? First thought, probably not. But you never know. None of us on this sailing know exactly why Royal put this regulation in. We also have to self-test before boarding (at least no proctoring needed, but so easy to cheat). So you'll have to wait and see. But it's possible and you'll have a chance to make a change, even if it's after final payment. -
Does Reef Safe Sunscreen? = Biodegradable Sunscreen
BrianAlt replied to DublinFC's topic in Shore Excursions
So, I'm glad I saw this topic as we will be sailing out of Hawaii in May. One person in our party wondered, what are the penalties? So, I found this article... https://www.civilbeat.org/2021/08/hawaii-has-a-ban-on-sunscreen-chemicals-but-no-ones-sure-who-should-enforce-it/ We will bring a tube of "reef-safe" sunscreen. But I'm not going to go too crazy over it. -
I think they will! Keep us posted and good luck!
