I was wondering if anyone knows whether the staterooms will be part of the refurbishment on Allure. Oasis just underwent refurbishment so if anyone recently cruised on Oasis that should also give me the answer for Allure! Looking to do the Europe cruise in May but prefer newer ships/staterooms. We are sailing on Harmony in a few weeks. We got a D4 category Oceanview Balcony stateroom. It happens to be one of the "semi" hump balconies. Cabin 9606. It is right before the true hump staterooms. Has anyone stayed in these rooms and any pictures/comments? My first time in the hump and I read a comment elsewhere that it is actually smaller. Getting nervous as we spend a ton of time out on our balcony! TIA!

How do these beaches compare to Magen's Bay?

Travelling on Harmony in February, and wondering what excursions you would recommend for a family. Will be with my husband and our 4 year old son. My husband and I have done the dolphin encounters before, but my son hasn't so that might be an option. Anything else that you would recommend?

We stayed in Atlantic when we cruised in September, but the price was around $280 USD at that time. It has since gone up to $400+ (perhaps time of year), and I'm not really willing to spend that much this time around! I found the hotel to be dusty and not all that modern.

I'm looking to book a cabana or bungalow for labadee but wanted to clarify if there's beach access. My 4YO loves the beach so wondering if the loungers are a better option.

I'm looking to book a hotel in Fort Lauderdale pre-cruise. Sailing on Harmony Feb 11th. We have stayed in the Atlantic before and although its ranked a 5 star, it wasn't worth the money. Looking for other suggestions, 4 stars and higher only. Many thanks!

Starting to plan my next cruise and since the C&A sale is happening now, would like to take advantage. I have never booked a cruise so far out in advance (looking at August 2017 sailing date). How much deposit do I pay, can I cancel without penalty, and when is full payment due? Can I also combine with Next Cruise certificates that I have yet to purchase (plan to do so during my Sept 2016 cruise). TIA!

Thanks everyone for all the information - very much appreciated. I should mention that I reside in Toronto, Canada and our health coverage is outstanding. We have extensive coverage provided through our employers in addition to government coverage, so costs/payments are not an issue here. Very comforting to know that RC has well-equipped medical staff/services to deal with emergencies.

My most recent attack lasted several hours (about 6 hours) and painful enough for me to take a trip to the ER. I don't get them often and when I do I can sleep through it. I am still waiting to be seen by a surgeon to get it removed. I am mostly concerned if it gets infected and I need surgery immediately. My travel insurance provides full coverage so I have no concerns there.

I wouldn't say my situation is critical but I recently had a gallbladder attack. No infection so I didn't need emergency surgery. But wondering what happens if i have another attack. Gallbladder surgery is elective unless it gets infected.

I wanted to know if anyone has used the medical facilities on board the RC ships, particularly Allure of the Seas. I am wondering how equipped they are with dealing with emergency situations and how trained they are. Will I have access to meds if required? What happens in the event I need emergency surgery?

I already made all the reservations so hopefully it works out. How early should I get there for seats?

We are in a balcony ocean view stateroom on deck 14, aft. Don't think my 4 year old will want to make the trek up to the foreword elevators! lol

My husband and I went with another couple - pre children. It was brand new at that time and we mainly chose it for that reason. Brand spanking new. Having been on other RC cruises prior to that, I was not impressed right off the bat. Entertainment and activities were lacking, and I often found myself in my stateroom watching tv. Not how I wanted to be spending the cruise! I also found the split with the toilet and sink area extremely odd. I have been on Freedom and think it was a way better choice on your part.

I'm sailing on Allure in September, and have been reading reviews off various websites. Starting to get a tad worried as there are often criticism about lack of seating for shows, complaints of long line-ups, disorganization of crew handling guests who have made prior reservations, etc. I understand some comments may be taken from inexperienced cruisers, or those who are just used to more low-key ships (think Celebrity or Princess). I am not a huge fan of large crowds, but really wanted to try an Oasis-class ship this time around. Have been on Freedom, Adventurer, and Majesty in the past. Also been on NCL Epic (will never do that again). Wondering if anyone can share their experience with me, as I have grown to really respect the opinions and thoughts of cruisers on this forum!
