I have the same problem for check in on April 5th / 6th depending on what day it is. Lol.

Again, the only way to deal with this subject is. You do you, I'll do me. And everyone keeps what they put out to themselves.

Your saying if people don't pay this the vacation they love will cease to exist. Lol. That’s trying to tell them what to do with dramatic "do it or else" consequences.

LOL. Well that did it. Now people will definitely never remove them again. Saying that solved everything. People are not going to change their minds on this based on what others say, so why bother? That's what I'm trying to say. And yes like it or not, I don't believe anyone has the right to tell anyone else what to do or how to spend their money. I think 99 out of 100 times they will do the opposite because of not liking feeling told what they should do. So why get into it in the first place.

I don't mind being up at midnight. I just wish I knew which day. Lol. It changes every week. April 5th one week, April 6th the next. It's so odd???

Has anyone else ever had this happen. My check in date on app keeps changing from April 5th to April 6th back and forth every few days for months. I have both dates now marked in my calendar. Want early check in time. So I'm guessing I need to be up at midnight both nights. It just keeps fluctuating between the 5th and 6th since about late September.

Why are we doing this again. Someone start up and old thread because they were board or having a bad Christmas day? If people want to remove automatic gratuities they can, will, and should. It's their choice. Not yours. And nothing anyone says here will ever effect that choice. When it comes to money "what I do is......" ain't gonna matter. This conversation has never changed anyone's view and/or decision on the subject.

Not sure. I was on Disney when I did it. Maybe someone else can answer. But I would have felt comfortable enough with a longer walk or short taxi ride. In terms of safety and distance from ship. Again, big chicken for missing the boat here.

I will put my 2 cents in. Anything can go wrong and you can have trouble returning to the States without passports. Not just you but family members, deaths, emergencies. Never know when you need to get on a plane fast. Also passports make the process of travel so much easier. And if your birth certificates don't have the right raised seal on it etc you can be denied boarding at last minute. Happens often. Happened to a family on her in past 30 days. IMHO it's not worth the risk. Not when so much money is already involved. Also, passports help making it easier to apply or renew other forms of ID. Most require multiple forms of ID to get ID. Passports serve multiple purposes, not just travel. Best ID you can have.

I'm not a big fan of going solo. Stick with the group in a strange country, missing the ship come departure time, etc. But I've done the Sky ride in St Thomas solo. Simple walk and ship was always within sight. So that one I say go for it no problem. Never did the other so can't comment.

Please buy wine when you land and not put in your checked bags for a flight. If they break on the flight it will mess your clothes as well as clothes in other people's luggage.

We keep our Vax cards in passport holder so travel with them anyway. Never know who and where might want to see and takes up zero room.

OK, so anybody been to Mullet Beach in St Maarten? Toilets, lockers, general reviews, etc? Not finding much info. Only picked cause info I found listed it as the beach with the calmest water/waves on island.

I never said the OP said they needed assistance from Consul etc. Never miss quote me. Royal will assist in matters concerning local Authorities. 99.9 % of the time that doesn't include boarder agent problems. They were rude to me, made smart ass comments, etc. To expect a business to do anything about this is laughable. It would be a total and complete waste of time. What would they want? Apologies? Compensation? Come on. Any country a joke. Israel even bigger joke. It matters that it was Israel to me because I strongly suspect many would be intimidated by Israeli agents and would let time pass before questioning anything. (Calling out wrong name etc). And there is nothing wrong with that. Feeling too intimidated to speak up etc. But bottom line is what was there to be done by Royal? Nothing. And Israel (And other countries) can be harsh intimidating places to go through customs at. They are what they are. And being well educated in advance on the country you are traveling to will make for less drama, intimidation, hurt feelings, and good customer service type expectations.

There is nothing I am reading by the OP that would have required third party assistance. (Consul, etc). This is the way the government in Israel operates. Not just customs, but the entire government. At most there was a sarcastic comment made by an Israeli customs agent after a 2 hour mistake regarding last name / middle name etc. To which customs in Israel would do nothing if pressed. It's unfortunate, but it is now in the past. They are trained to be stone faced and intimidating. If they kept calling out my middle name I too would hesitate to confront and correct them. But it truly is just how the country operates. Due research on Israel, it's all right there to find and see.

Royal is under no obligation to protest. They are a business, not diplomats. Doing anything would get them zero. Nobody is being disparage by customs in Israel. They are known for being the toughest most no nonsense militant country to get into. This is not new or unusual in any way whatsoever for Israel. There laws are militant strict. They negotiate with know one on anything. Due some research before you travel.

Royal has no say in what goes on in customs at any port. I agree with what the others have said.

And problem is hall's aren't that wide to begin with. Really they will need someone on each floor ready to deliver extra towels when called and to walk up and down removing dirty dishes.

3pm is a long time to lug around bags and try not tripping on others bags.

Personally, I feel you need hip boots to read this article. It's first and foremost cost cutting at It's boldest. The claim a few weeks ago was this was just a trial on one ship with no fleet wide plan in the works. And some actually believed that. LoL. They claimed to base future plans on feedback. Yet, it would seem the "test menu" was the general idea all along. Would be very surprised if it is altered much between now and January. Not holding much hope on feedback being given much consideration. Note: Would love to be proven wrong. I think people want good food over speed. Well, they want both. But quality food first, speed second. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Looking at booking both excursions with Royal. Just would like to know about the lockers and toilets situation at both? Over 50 and need to know toilet locations everyplace I go. Lol.
