  1. I procrastinated all day about packing, and then I had to throw everything together really quickly after sunset. I managed to get the suitcases out there at 9:58 p.m. Whew! I realize they don't usually pick them up until after 11:00 p.m., but I wanted to make sure I met the deadline on the piece of paper they gave. OMG THEY LITERALLY JUST TOOK THEM. 11:04pm. Do I have to go? Do you think if I just stay in my room and refuse to leave they'll let me stay?
  2. Have you ever checked under your bed to see what's there? After last month's news about the RC employee getting arrested who hid under people's beds, I decided to get down on my hands and knees and check out how much room there actually is under there. Yes, a person could hide under there. What's actually down there on a regular basis though? I discovered blankets and towels! So if you're ever needing either, look under your bed.
  3. Sunset was AMAZING tonight. If you zoom in kind of close, you can actually see the Miami skyline underneath the sunset.
  4. It was good! I swear I have seen the same buildings all day from my balcony!!!!!
  5. That's a great idea. Maybe future me will do this!
  6. I also saw the stew pots brimming over with people. Pretty sure I counted 25 in this one...
  7. This is for all you ELF fans out there. I managed to get there right before they closed at 6pm. I then took the contents of my chicken burrito and dumped it on my nachos. It was DIVINE. And a Painkiller to sit with now for sunset!
  8. I actually had that thought too after I got the towels down. The yoga mat would totally fit out there!
  9. Balcony hack (if you have one): it's big enough to make into your own private sun lounging area.
  10. I actually even had it on the side table last night while I was laying in bed. It keeps the top of the side table clear!
  11. Lunch at Izumi. I showed up 15 minutes before they open to ensure that I could get a seat at the sushi counter. I probably didn't need to, based on how slowly people trickled in to the counter, but I'm glad I did. Pork gyoza, miso ramen, and vegetable rolls. It was mostly delicious, though the gyoza was pretty mediocre. I could definitely have had better service, but they were slammed with three of the four hibachi tables being filled. I was never able to place a drink order and only had water the entire time. At least I was in and out in under an hour.
  12. YOU GUYS. I went and did my free play in the casino and I WON BIG! It's so big that the machine said it would be applied to my account and I couldn't cash out with the cashier. In all seriousness, is there something I need to do in order to get the 35¢ applied to my account? Is there something I need to do with this ticket? If I really wanted to, I mean.
  13. Made my way down to the logo shop already this morning and got my keychain. I collect keychains from each of the ships I've been on. The Royal Promenade was oddly empty for 9:30 in the morning. Even Sorrento's wasn't open yet.
  14. I can confirm that spacious balcony rooms have more than enough room for a yoga mat and doing yoga. In fact, I've done this in interior rooms too, but bumped into things. I'm happy that I didn't bump into anything today.
  15. Haiti is just a crap show. I really feel for the people there. I'm with you - hoping things get better sooner rather than later.
  16. I DID 2!!!! EDIT: "Whoa, how much can you bench, bro?" "15 lbs, but I can do 8 crepes in one sitting." (the conversations in my head are amazing)
  17. YOU ARE SO RIGHT but I am still traveling after I get off the ship, so it doesn't feel quite as bad.
  18. Good morning from somewhere off the coast of Miami. It's a sea day, and our last day. I will definitely be chilling out and then spending a portion of the day packing up.
  19. I actually agree. When I had crepes on Navigator and Independence, they were full-size crepes. They also had a ton more options to put into it as well as on it. This one felt more like it was designed to be snack size with just a few options to decorate it. Still love crepes!
  20. Reviewing my casita on board, 8 Seabreeze Circle. It was located on the starboard side by the railing very close to the Lime & Coconut. I bought this months ago when I was trying to decide what to do in Nassau, and I really thought I was going to cancel it. I ended up keeping it because I didn't really want to be wandering through the city when it was hot and humid like it was in September. That was my mistake, the weather was perfect today and I should have wandered through the city. I digress. I paid $125 to have this exclusively mine from 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Check in time at 9:00 a.m. was on deck 12 of the Lime & Coconut. There were a couple people ahead of me and nobody at the bar. We were all wondering what was going on, and finally the guy came out at 9:10. I initially chose one of the casitas furthest away from the bar area (#1), but then I realized it was going to be in the sun all day and switched. It comes with four water bottles in the cooler/ table, four towels, the bed to lay in (comfy), and two side tables in the corner. Oddly enough, the outlet in that casita was a standard plug. The first casita I checked out (#1) appeared to have USB ports in it. Don't quote me, but it was set up slightly differently. I thought that the listing said that there was a safe inside the casita for securing belongings, but there definitely wasn't one in mine. I had to take my stuff with me each time just to be safe. The casita stayed pretty shaded most of the day, and by the time the sun would have been on me again in the afternoon, it had popped behind a few clouds so it wasn't too bad. Some people might want to be in the casitas that are facing the sun, but I like to stay shady. I think I spent somewhere between 6-7 hours out there to maximize the money I spent on it with the time I was given. In the morning, I was really doubting why I had reserved the casita because it was absolutely empty. In fact, a couple of the loungers beside me were in better shade than my casita was! However, after my attempted nap in the afternoon, I realized why having the casita was very helpful when everybody was everywhere on that deck area. People in the loungers around me had started using the side tables in the corner to place their drinks. No big deal to me, it was just the person that decided to leave a half eaten plate of ELF food on my bed during one of my bathroom breaks that really annoyed me. My options for the bathroom were the one directly below me in the solarium, or I could just run a couple decks down to my room because the casita was roughly above where I was located. As the day progressed, using my cabin versus the public restroom became much nicer. I loved watching the pier runners and sail away from the casita. Having the towels was very helpful. When the sun went behind the clouds and the wind picked up. I never had any issues with the call button for the waiter, and he was super helpful with bringing drinks and a plate of fruit around lunch time. I was actually shocked to see that most people didn't use those casitas that they had reserved until the afternoon. Maybe I'm just a penny pincher but I wanted to make sure that I maximized my purchase! Would I book this again on a port day like I did? Possibly. I have one reserved on Navigator later this year that cost $89, which seems much more reasonable for what you get. I know that the sea day rental tomorrow for this ship is $450 and it's sold out. I definitely wouldn't do it for that much. Honestly, I think it would be much more fun if I had someone there with me. It's nice to be able to stretch out on your own and do your own thing, but it would have been fun to have been hanging out with someone to talk about the various shenanigans that were happening around me. TL;Dr - My casita was nice. I might do it again for the right price.
