In the particular situation that you describe above, it sounds as if you made your booking after the final payment date. If that is the case, there is no way to reprice your booking. A repricing is essentially a cancellation and rebooking. Since you would be essentially cancelling your original booking, you would be subject to significant cancellation fees which would neutralize any reduction in fare that might have materialized since you originally booked. I have no interest in taking the time to look up the wording but I suspect that somewhere in the legal language the repricing "guarantee" makes an exception for bookings after the final payment date.
I will also agree with you that the repricing "guarantee" is pretty hard to use. They do not want to make it easy for you to get money back ! Enjoy your cruise on 8-19. You didn't mention which ship but I'm sure it will be great !!!
I agree. Try couple times on Adventure and Allure. They know what to do to limit customers to get "price matching" ,lod

I think you received bad information from the Customer Service rep. A balcony guarantee can include Central Park, Boardwalk or ocean view balcony.
I agree with you 100% but they said that is if I want OV balcony I have to pay for un upgrade. That is the way it set up. And if you read information about "Balcony gty" there are not clearly tell you that what you will be assigned for, then you assumed that you will be get one of three stateroom: Bw, CP or OV. But infact no OV.!!!

@pattywac we just came back from Roatan and booked an excursion directly with Daniel Johnson -> https://monkeyandslothhangout.com/site/our-excursions/
It was $55 per person and we visited their wildlife exhibit, got to hug the sloth and play with the monkeys, then went snorkeling and hung out on a beach afterwards.
Hugging the sloth was awesome!
My daughters really like the snorkeling as well.
There was 5 of us so we had private transportation to and from the location.
Snorkeling is off shore only or we have a choice? Paying Xtra to enter the Beach?

I use Rony's Tours. You can join a group tour or for a small amount more, do a private tour.
If you price it out, the private tour is basically $90 - $120 plus the cost of whatever you want to do - a small price to have someone who knows the island with you all day.
The other advantage is that they are flexible and can make adjustments based on time and other factors.

Do we have to pay daily pass to the West Bay beach + chairs?

I called RC , with my "balcony gty" I only get BW or CP . If I want Ocean view balcony I have to do an upgrade which is double what I have now. So after going thru from August thru October, I find out that : booking balcony staterooms are different:
1. If you see they are low price, then you will only see two options : Balcony gty( they pick room for you) and other it you pick yourself, which is very high prices. (This is my case)
2. At regular price at different date/months, you can see lot of choices: Ocean view balcony gty; CP; BW ; large balcony, Connection balcony .
-
For example: if you check sailing date from Oct 8 _15th; then go to balcony state room , you will see "we pick room for you" that what we booked then until now, we not sure what room will be assigned for.
-
We are going on Sept 10... How can I check inventory for those rooms . They say that our room will be assigned around 2,3 weeks before sailing date.
-
Thank you . And just wondering that anyone got ocean view balcony (not Broadway/central park) on Allur of the Sea after selected "ocean view balcony - we pick your room " option.???
-
Any one went to Sol y Mar club beach and Tabyama beache in Honduras? Which one better? Thanks
-
So with balcony gty we can not get ocean view if we let them "pick" the room for us?

Thanks for the tip

This is for the roll call for Allure of the Seas, Sep 10-17, Leaving out of Galveston
Hello... Anyone planning to book shore excursion at Honduras not thru RC . Never done it before but seeing on YouTube someone did that and the places they went look nice too...

I did it one time when I saw refreshments package 30%, book it first, then call in or go to the app and cancel the last order ( which it only 10% off)
-
You never know when they charged on your credit card "by mistake" and the process to get the credit back take long time or even it not happened at all. For example: one time we got the letter in our room showing they we have discounts like wine, restaurant, Cocktail... (20% off) and they said it will automatically reduce prices when you use your sea pass. But it not when I got final bill come from email. Call them and they said they ll do but never happen....
-
I just did on Allur for the shoes but when I submitted the reservation it link to our credit card on file even the shows are complimentary and show $0.00 I don't like it!!?
-
Anyone won the bid? By how much? And worth it to do so? Thanks

welcome to the non-lurking side of the message boards!
i am not sure how it works when you are offered/comped a room.
for the traditional cruiser, you almost always have the option to "pick your room" or let "royal pick your room" -- the latter of which tends to result in a cheaper fare overall, as it allows them to slot you into whatever spot/category has yet to be sold or chosen by other cruisers.
to answer to second part of your question as far as where you should pick on an oasis class with a junior suite -- this is just based off our experience, so YMMV -- but we tend to prefer decks 11 + 12 where the ship "bumps out." we prefer higher decks in general, but not so high that you're right below the pool/sports decks, like on deck 14.
deck 11
deck 12
the lower you get -- deck 6 has the promenade/boardwalk, deck 7 could have spillover promenade action, deck 8 is central park with its two specialty restaurants and two bars -- the more foot traffic you share with the masses.
whereas on a cabin-only deck, you're typically just dealing with people heading back to their room for the most part.
again, this is just based on personal preference, but this is what we've noticed when booking.
honestly, the best is a junior aft suite where you can look out the back of the ship like on the quantum class ships -- but those cabins are gold and tend to sell out VERY quickly (understandably).
hope this helps!!
Could you explain what are those colors mean for each room? They are several... Thanks
