  1. So the news story I quoted is propaganda because you choose to believe it's an isolated incident?
  2. Please don't lock this thread. If there is any validity in anything, anyone has quoted here, it can only help make informed decisions. Fair enough?
  3. Im trying to help others. Caution is wise.
  4. And I should believe anything added to that site with regards to actual facts and figures? Are you actually for real?
  5. And we know who "updated" it don't we. Fact is this was NOT the normal procedure used on the daily until now. You and I both know it.
  6. Where does it list the percentage of times it's been used? You seem so sure.
  7. From 2018. What moron put that rule in place.
  8. Anyone with common sense would be concerned to travel to and from the United States at this current time.
  9. It has not been policy. You are spreading lies.
  10. https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/05/world/canada-travel-advisory-us-electronic-devices-intl-latam/index.html This says it all. Travel is essentially not safe. Certainly reason to be concerned and not adverse where you are from etc.
  11. It's stems from how deeply ashamed I am of where I come from. And no I don't believe I am thinking to deeply. It's better to not advertise at all where you come from at the moment. I truly believe that is a wise course of action.
  12. But I wouldn't advertise being an American on land.
  13. Anyone who's stayed here. There are 2 Publix near by. Which would be the easier walk to get to?
  14. A long time ago someone here had advice on how to upload a photo that the system will except during online check-in. Think size might have had to do with it? Can't remember. Or do we selfie now? I know it can be done at port. But if I'm going to give a photo a shot at online check-in I want to try for one that works. Tips, suggestions, etc? Thanks
  15. They are meant for travel. I don't view the world as America, then everywhere else. I currently live in the Midwest, but when I travel to NYC to visit family, I'm prepared for Mexico, Canada, Paris, London etc. I don't take mine on a long car ride, but air travel, you bet. Lost or stolen Drivers license is just as big a hassle as lost or stolen passport. To not carry travel documents for fear of those things is giving into fear. In Europe folks don't dare travel without a passport, even within there own country. Having it when traveling (needed or not) is very basic and common all over the rest of the world. I also don't get the folks who leave there passports on ships. Like missing the ship on an island and getting it replaced is easier then. I'm surprised some people don't leave their drivers license at home for fear of loosing it. Passports get lost, stolen, etc, just like drivers license do. They also get replaced like licenses do. There is a system in place for that, the world over. Nobody should live in fear of carrying there's when traveling. However, everyone should do there own thing. That's my 2 cents on it. Night all.
  16. I never travel without. You never know. They are meant for travel, not storage. I don't get people who think there passport is "safer at home". It Tops all other IDs and never gets questioned. Don't be afraid of having it handy. Get your monies worth out of it.
  17. What's the difference between pulling out a passport or Driver's license?
  18. Get a passport and solve many possible problems. Both now and in the future. Best ID you can have.
  19. Lost luggage. Lost/Forgotten Passport Self-absorbed parents who let non potty trained kids in pools. (Poop on my fun in the sun, literally). Obnoxious Drinkers. Illness that ruins the week. Calls my dog is not eating because I'm not there. Being put out in any way by people who don't understand it's a shared experience. See: Self-absorbed, Obnoxious, "Well it's MY vacation" forgetting the other 7000 people. Pre trip stress about folks who do stuff that has a good chance of negatively effecting others.
  20. Tickets, Money , Passports. That's what I chant over and over. Leaving house, leaving car at airport, leaving ticket counter, leaving security, etc etc etc. Your Wallet, Passport, and tickets are all that matters. Everything else (including medication) can be replaced in 2 hours in Florida etc.
  21. I checked out the premier plan. I get like $189 per person. About $50 pp more than we usually spend, but I think worth it for clothes, shoes, and luggage itself. All are more than a basic $500 pp loss. Thank you so much for the suggestion/information. It saved me a lot of time. Looks like a good plan.
  22. I've been buying shirts especially for evenings on my next trip (Celebrity Beyond). Most are between $90 to $140. So that alone takes out a basic $500 for luggage. Then add nice jeans, shoes, etc. And let's not forget the new luggage itself. LOL. Just kinda think the basic $500 coverage won't cut it. As far as spill's and laundry. Vacation is one of the very few times I will get to wear these things. Actually thinking about disposal plastic bibs for dinner. I usually tuck my cloth napkin in my shirt like a hillbilly when I have something nice on. LOL.
