  1. Art auction with free champange??? Count me in!!!
  2. That makes so much sense actually. I think I still prefer the MDR for breakfast cause it's less crowded. Sure there's not as many choices, but I'd rather be able to find a seat, have table service and be able to relax instead of feeling like I need to rush to get breakfast over.
  3. First night went well. She rocked a bit and is still rocking I don't remember her rocking this much... are her stabilizers not working? (I kid I kid) Dinner was alright, the prime rib was a bit too rare for my liking unfortunately. I just had the battered fish and chips instead. Has continental breakfast always been complimentary? I don't remember it ever being complimentary, if so, when did that change? Willian is my cabin steward!! Very nice!!
  4. So I bought an internet package... how do I connect on my Mac? It won't let me use login.com when I'm connected to Royal's Wifi It only works when I use my phone!
  5. Over 250 people haven't been to their Muster Stations!!!
  6. For a ship that's 7 years old, it does look like they've kept her in great condition!
  7. Cruise Director: Steve from Canada!
  8. Looks like Ovation hasn't had the upgraded menu in the MDR yet...I think? Unless this is just the first night...
  9. Going through security now... not long!!!!
  10. Boarding now.... The Key and Pinnacle Members
  11. Can someone move this to live blogs?
  12. Not a good picture... but it's cruise day and we're boarding soon...
  13. I think in one of Matt's recent videos, he said, we're not likely to get anymore news on Utopia until Icon's inaugural on January 27th. That's because Icon is their newest product they're trying to promote, they want people to get excited about Icon. The same thing happened when Wonder was being built, they hype up Wonder, get people excited, then when she finally launches, then they start coming out with news about Icon.
  14. The only thing I could see happening is cancelling out of respect to Turkiye. The nation is in mourning right now and I don't think they'd appreciate tourists or foreigners coming in and out during this time, my guess is as good as anyone's though, we'll just have to wait and see.
  15. Most cruises (not that many) that I've been on have been interior rooms (with the exception of Alaska, because you definitely need a balcony to see Alaska imo), but I don't mind interior rooms, because I'm mostly out and about exploring the ship anyway, the "room" is mostly for taking a nap, getting changed or just relaxing for a bit after a shore excursion or something. On the smaller ships (at least the ones I've been on, that other cruise line that starts with a C and ends with an L) we could sometimes hear the engine, but it wasn't too bad, it was only really during port days when the ship was backing into the port I never get seasick, but I know the person I travelled with did get seasick on some days especially when the waves were pretty bad... And then there was another P&O Australia cruise that I went on, the ship was about 55,000 GT and about 219m so we could definitely feel the waves and it was pretty bad at times, especially in the main dining room - we had to hold on for dear life at one point cause it got so bad, but alas, smaller ships don't have as great stabilizers I guess...
  16. I'm trying this.... everytime I try to save, it just never reloads the page.... Nvm it worked, I was just impatient.
  17. In my opinion, it just really depends, if you want a more intimate relaxed, less hectic, less kids experience, the smaller ships might offer this, but if you want to get the best bang for your buck per se, then the big ships will probably be the best since they have so much to do - waterslides, promenade, north star etc. I want to try one of the smaller RCI ships eventually - they replaced Enchantment with Brilliance here in Sydney.
  18. I haven't been on a smaller RCI ship per se, but I've been on a 55,000 GT, 219m ship from another cruise line, and honestly, I enjoyed it, like DoomSlayer said above, it's a lot less hectic than the bigger ships and less screaming, there's obviously less to do (re: waterslides, etc) but it's much more intimate and much easier to meet people because you're basically seeing the same people everyday. I had a lot more fun chatting and being intimate with my family - idk if that makes sense. But also, it was to a destination that a bigger ship wouldn't have been able to visit.
  19. I was like what?? And thought it was a joke or something and I actually watched the lifebelt demonstration.
  20. I know it's a guarantee, so it's any room RCI gives us, but I mean when do we find out?
  21. I finally got my cruise documents today but it just days Deck 10, but not the actual cabin number... when do we find out what cabin we're in.
